2014 Mazda 3

Good morning sirs. Anybody here having issues with the ground clearance of the Mazda3? What is the purpose of the small fiberglass flap just in front of the front wheels?

No major problems so far. Only time sumayad ako was with a full load down a driveway na kahit Vios sumasayad. It's not as low as it looks. Besides kumpleto naman ng plastic covering ang ilalim so onti lang ang metal parts na exposed.



Pwede for aerodynamic purposes to divert air around the tires. Pwede rin to keep dirt and water from hitting the brakes.

Ground clearance? Yep, nung una. Pero I try to live with it and still adjusting to it dahil yan ang porma ng M3 and I drive a SUV. Tsaka in the end, masasanay ka rin.

Thanks for the inputs regarding the ground clearance and the air dams sirs. I'll probably just have to adjust my driving just to make sure the undercarriage doesn't get too banged up - some of the roads I pass by have gnarly potholes and unreasonably large speed bumps.

Kung meron mga nagpalit ng bumpers, baka naman pede ko bilihin yun triangular na naka clip sa grill. Salamat mga mazda3 owners. Per order daw kasi sa Mazda and 600 each.

I check with the dealer regularly and they always tell me that it's already being processed or they have not received anything from LTO. After 7 months of wait they informed me that I need to accomplish 3 LTO forms for them to process my special plates. How frustrating.... So in case anyone of you guys requested for a special plate, ask your dealer if you need to fill out something, because you just might be waiting for nothing...

Yung OR/CR they provided already last Nov 2014, plaka na lang ang wala.

Nakakaduling mag back read but I'm researching the mazda 3 HB 1.5 for my wife, kaya no choice but to learn as much as I can from your posts. There are some other things I wanted to ask and hopefully meron maka tulong.

1. Will the Kojin 3 warranty be void if the Tires, Headlight and Horn are replaced? I don't like the look of the 16's and have read the halogen lights and horn are not good.

2. Is the Airconditioning of the 1.5 HB cool enough? In my current daily driver (GTA), it is already cool when set to 25deg and fan is on 1 during the day.

3. Hindi ba cramped yung right leg nyo during long drives? I tried sitting in a display unit and it seems like the gas pedal is tucked behind the center console, making my right leg brush against/rub on the center console. Parang the console is wider than those in most cars.

We initially considered a Honda Jazz kasi mas maliit, but ironically more spacious inside. But i cannot justify paying the price of the jazz, when the mz3 is priced the same and has far more advanced features. Not to mention it is a category higher.

mga sir question medyo ot. how often do you wax tsaka anong gamit nyo?
may alam ba kayo ng detailer around qc area na pwede magpalagay ng sariling wax (as an additional cost to wash).
nagtanong ako sa bigberts, same price daw kahit na may sariling wax. thanks

1. Replacing the headlights and horn MAY void the electrical warranty as per my SA. But as long as the process is reversible, puwede naman siguro ibalik yung stock before claiming warranty.

2. AC is ok. It can't touch the cooling power of the current gen altis but it's comparable with the current gen City. To get a comparable level of comfort vs my CRV on fan1 and lowest AC setting, I have to set the AC knob one click to the left and fan2 on the mazda3.

3. You may have to slide the driver seat back and have the telescoping steering wheel compensate. My brother is almost 6feet tall and it didn't take long before he found a comfortable driving position on the M3.

Yes sir 1.5 HB. Not a big fan of the stock mags but I'm in no hurry to have it changed. Still in awe of the entire package - wheels and all.

2. The A/C is okay and I guess a little cooler than the 2010 Honda Civic 1.8S FD.

3. I believe wider cars like the M3 are more ergonomic and comfortable. You also get more elbow room.
