Hindi naman siguro sa octane yan. Baka may nag-init lang na relay.
Hmmmmm, matagal na ko nagkakarga ng Unioil 91 pero di pa naman ito nangyayari. Siguro have it checked agad sa casa and observe muna habang ginagamit mo. Fuel will be out of the question dahil pasok naman sa octane requirement pero ang tanong lang ay kung malinis ang fuel na kinarga mo o hindi.
Yep have it checked sa casa for error codes. Could be something as simple as a sensor that got shaken loose by the lubak.
Tolits sir, we can only speculate on your issue w/o a specific pulled code. Please visit your dealership & have that fault code extracted.
P0171 has been seen on our cars a few times. I had it but twas a fluke due to a pinched O-ring on the PCV valve from the factory. Others just had simple fuel system/injector cleaning. This code usually causes hesitation, random misfire, but I haven't heard stalling yet.
Question: At what fuel level do you usually fill up?
Your symptom seems to point to fuel supply or pressure. Remember our Sky fuel pump is asked to provide an extremely high working pressure above 3k psi. The fuel in the tank serves as its coolant. I never wait for the fuel gauge light to warn me before filling. I gas up when tank gauage says 1/4 left at the least. This is to help extend pump life.
I'm also spoiled by OBD gauges hooked to my cars. W/o them, I feel naked or like I'm out w/o my cellphone. My Skyactiv specific Scangauge2 tells me what I need to know, how the engine is behaving. It extracts & clears codes. When I knew my P0171 was really recurrenty bothering the engine, I advised the tech to dig into the fuel system. Here's a pic of it when my code 1st popped:
I'm almost certain octane has nothing to do w/ this. Please have the stored code extracted & share it here for the Mown3rs to archive.
There was an old Sky pump TSB that was for temperate regions where the pump temp shoots up upon idling, stalls the engine & pops the CEL....but this was related to winter blend fuel. Mazda has long addressed that in the early SkyActivs they put in the last of the Gen2 M3s.
Apologies for this lengthy, useless, speculative post. Can only guess w/o that code, sir.
Thanks sir travs, i plan to have it checked by the Casa this Saturday. I usually fill up when there are four lines left. If you look closely the charging system malfunction light is also lit (lower right). RPM went down to 0.
Turned off and re-started. Lights went off, hopefully maiuwi ko pa siya from Makati to QC later.
Will share the code once diagnosed
yes sir. may bagong bukas kasi na Unioil malapit sa lugar namin so this is only the second time to fill up using Unioil. Shell fuelsave 91 eversince.

Good thing the M3 is only a poser. Real Euros are sensor-heavy & act like divas. Dash lights turn on like Christmas. I've seen a few fluke 1s that never came back tho. Hope yours is like those flukes.....
Let's see that stored code.
Manufacturers should really start displaying the error code (if not the actual fault) instead of giving us an idiot light like a CEL. They already put out the FC and mileage on the MID, how hard is it to make it flash other info?
guys baka lang alam nyo san nakakabili ng orig accessories for our m3.
i want the rubber floor mats from factory and the metal foot rest pedal.
may nag iimport ba dito sa forums?
Surely won't be difficult nor much costlier, but doing so wouldn't just open cans of worms but would be like shooting themselves in the head. Can't expect manufacturers to wean car owners of their dealership service dependence, nor to open themselves up to more complaints than they probably are already getting.
Gearheads can simply buy themselves those hobo sub$10 OBD Bluetooth Elm 327s & use their smartphone Torque app to monitor the OBD menu of info.....
Personally, I prefer the Scangauge2.![]()
When an engine stalls & dies in any car, the dash, CEL, batt lights all pop...normal. You might even have no actual CEL, nor a fluke hiccup....that's to be optimistic.
When you pressed brakes & pushed the start button after it died...You actually turned the car OFF....
The 2nd time was to turn the car on...did it crank but not start? Or just a dead click? Or did it fire right up?
Still, let's not guess....but wait & see if there ever was a code.![]()
When I pressed brakes & pushed the start button while all the lights were On as per the image, M3 crank but did not start. So I have to completely turn it OFF by just pressing the start/stop button.. waited 5 minutes and then re-started (brakes + start button from complete off)
Confirmed scheduled appointment this Saturday![]()
