Have you checked with SnR? Reason I ask is if you regularly shop there, you can apply for EastWest credit card (presently) and get a 1500php GC per applicant. You would need a charge slip as part of your application around 150/200php minimum to swipe and submit as part of your application and Eastwest will give you the GC.
If you get the GC on the very same day, you can use it to pay for the tires you will buy.
This does not limit an SnR member to apply for 1 card only and get 1 GC. Four in my family applied when we went and I got a total 6k GC used it to pay for my tires.
Hope it helps.
I got a Yokohama BlueEarth ES32 205/55 r16 to swap out all my Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 195/60r16.
Price wise, they sold at 4895php per tire. In Yokohama Dealers like Westlake in West Avenue, card price is 4500php, cash price is around 4300php per tire..
I bought at SnR because of the GC availability on hand, free rotation, balancing and vulcanizing (any time and as much as I want to have done - plan to do it once every 6 months) and for convenience since I do shop there with family.
So for the 4 tires, instead of paying 19k php, I paid total 13k php. =) Worth the price for me. Not sure what tire size you are looking for but they have the tires anyway, I dont think budget to going with alternative from Yokohama, Advan, Kumho etc would have a big enough price disparity with other budget brands to negate a 3k "free" GC to like in my case 6k.
Worth a shot for you to call them.
Just to note, I was originally offered by another tire center, Hankook Ventus or Federal Tires. Both brands would cost me around 16-17kphp for all 4 tires, but I wouldn't be able to use GCs. Just to inform.
I was also originally offer Yokohama BluEarths RV02 by Yokohama but they actually cost more around 5500php. Luckily I was insistent to get ES32 and had to check tire conversion sizes. Overall, based on converter, there is an adjustment of around -4% for my tires which is not ideal but it works still.
EDIT: Reminder that the charge slip you submit as an applicant needs to have been swiped with the applicant's credit card (non East West from my recollection). So pwede sa food na lang kaysa grocery.
Paadvice naman mga sirs. Choosing between yokohama g055 and kumho kl21. Base sa mga nabasa ko, issue sa yoko ay madulas sya and sa kumho naman ay nagchichip sya especially pag matagal na. Any input sirs? Or ano po ba magandang gulong sa 235/65r17? Thanks po
