    Hi Jeanpierre,

Good to hear from you again. Btw, do you know that I got a Kia picanto for my wife? Well just like you, she was loving my sorento (more than me - naa), so we decided to buy her a Picanto, and so far, it's quite good, I even like driving it especially when going to the wet market because of its being nimble....

Ha2x! My friend bought one for 150K at maganda daw naman performance.

OK din naman yung seat covers mo na black and red combo. Saw the pics of your Sorento at your gallery.

My wife is very pleased with the Sorento's power going up a steep road. Before we got the Sorento she drives our diesel Terrano and going up on a steep road she has to switch off the aircon to maintain 2nd gear in going up. Now she doesn't want to drive the Terrano .

Yes that's true, price is between 130k to 170k, we were even considering buying it to replace our kia pride which we sold it december last year. But my wife, didn't like it, although its automatic trans... In fairness, most of these nissan march cars are really ok, but then again, nothing beats the Kia Picanto in this market segment, especially the automatic trans...

Congrats Joshryanne on your new Sorento. Which version did you get? I, too, am thinking of ordering some parts from customsorento.com but I read from previous pages in this thread they only accept paypal payment system. Otep has posted earlier that Kia Quezon Avenue has accessory parts if you want to upgrade your Sorento.

Congrats too on your new Sorento joshryanne and welcome to the Sorento owners club. As for the accessories, customsorento.com is one good site to shop for the accessories but sabi nga ni G01, dapat paypal which ang pinas is not included sa countries that can avail such payment. Try mo TFR at KSpec.com where I have ordered most of my Sorento accessories. They accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards for payments. Sa dalawa, KSpec.com delivers straight sa bahay mo and TFR naman, you need to pick up your package sa post office. Mabilis ang delivery ng Kspec basta available ang item at TFR naman will take 2-3 weeks. Quality wise, parehong good and dalawa sa experience ko. Try mo rin KIA Quezon ave kasi meron na rin silang accessories at sa Wheels E.Rod meron din. Enjoy your ride mate!

    hi joshryanne,

Congrats, I tell you, regrets will be a non-issue with your Sorento. Kia right now, is actually doing good. Regarding the CustomSorento, unfortunately, they only accept paypal and Philippines is not included in there list.. Yes, as mentioned by Jeanpierre. Here in Cebu, three auto accsrs retailers are selling sorento accessories - CFG, TRIJ and Autofocus... I got mine from the CFG and TriJ.. Prices are competitive and sometimes lower than the ones in Customsorento and Kspecs... Let me call them if they accept selling and then shipping...

Its bumpy than my corolla, but i know before hand that it would be like that since i test drove a lot of times. I also heard some not goodnews didto sa tsikot about fortuners and innovas.
For a week talagang maraming kaming pinuntahan, gusto ko kasing mag first PMS na. btw ok lang bang hindi mamahalin na oil yong gamitin ko on my first oil change, or dapat talagang synthetic? tnx

Check what your manual calls for. Basta umabot dun sa rating na yung ang oil, it doesn't matter if it's mineral, semi synth or synt.

Exception na lang if the manual explicitly calls for Synth. Though I doubt it. The Starex CRDi (with the same engine) does not call for synth.

    Hi Josh,

Bisdak diay ka? Actually in Kia Cebu they just use mineral based oil, in fact and also suggested in this forum, better stick to mineral and maintain regular change oil & filter intervals (5k or less), than to have synthetic and longer intervals. Ask Syriel, he is one of the SA's.

As a word of advice, for local sorento accessories go for cfg ayala or tri-j they are cheaper and prices are already inclusive of labor...

    Keep on Truckin...

the only thing in the manual that specifies a specific blend (like synthetic) is the auto transmission where you need to use the apollo red atf, which only kia is selling. Its different from dexron II or III, so don't mix it...

I am just worried because the SA said that its fill for life, but in our manual it says 40k kms, maintenance.... hmmm..

    Otep, pls help...

Even BMW's 'sealed-for-life' transmissions eventually needed flushing and fluid changes. I'd stick with what the manual says.

Maybe the dealer in your area is not capable of changing the fluid?

sir greg, i'm planning to visit tri-j today to do my window shopping/canvasing. no budget yet but just can't wait to see what they have for sale. hehehe.
btw ur sorentos have immobilizer right? well mine since it's not from they grey market don't have it. Any ideas on which alarm/security system is best? I'm planning to transfer the alarm from my old car (which has remote start/semi auto immobilizer and 2 way) but just hesitant if tri-j knows how to install it on my baby.

My SA said the warranty won't be voided if ever i install a new alarm system(the stock alarm is inadequate).
