but the problem daw is our diesel quality, masisira daw yung engine after few years. a salesperson from Hyundai when i askd regading Tucson told me to choose caltex diesel its good for CRDI and shell for gas. anyone heard about this?? yung pala top of the line diesel automatic, body clading, roof rail, fog lamp, power side mirrors/ antenna cost 1.358M, but i like the manual version but it has no powerside mirrors? antenna and different HU and i think 4 speakers lang may cost between 1.280 to 1.3M by the way the srip down version manual cost 1.198M but not attractive. i used to own x-trail 250x and the manual remote power windows for manual diesel is a bit turn off.

also the diesel version doesn't have abs and ebd. the guy from kia told me even it doesn't have abs it has naman i forgot what it called, that will detect lost of traction. maybe his just making things up just to hide lack of safety features. any diesel sorrento owners here? i need your advice. pro and cons

diesel LX sorento is the one that doesn't have ABS and only a driver's airbag at kulang din ng maraming amenities. but it's available in M/T and has standard 4WD and a rear LSD.

yung diesel EX sorento fully loaded pero 5-speed A/T only.

the LX manual( no abs, manual side mirrors, no fog lamp, etc... cost 1.198M ,Hyundai Tucson Automatic with sports mode cost 1.198M with every ammenities with the ex diesel. which would be a better deal? also i have no plans using it on serious off road maybe i maight need it if i get stuck sa beach or on heavy rain/ slippery roads. with the Ex diesel cost here cdo 1.358M very expensive for a kia. if i want to make the Lx diesel manual base model look like an EX it will cost from 1.198 to 1.315M but still only manual side mirrors and manual antenna.

as MBT said... the EX Diesel does have all the amentities of the EX Gasoline including ABS & EBD.

any diesel sorrento owners here? i need your advice. pro and cons

try backreading all the 15 pages of this thread including those from Sorento owners themselves.

well i saleguy asked him during the BPI auto madness regarding the ABS and he said no abs sa Ex diesel auto. have you seen the dash board and HU nang Tucson and pangit mas guapo pa yung sorento. but with a 1.198 price it may be a better buy than sorento LX na

Test drove the Sorento last sunday and it was good. CRDi engine is great. As mbt said, madami pang kulang sa LX LTD.

Ok ang Tucson para kang may RAV 4,Xtrail at CRV pero diesel nga lang(medyo mabagal ang diesel version pero ok narin).Macho talaga yung Sorento pero mas ok yung EX kaysa sa LX Limited.

hi! we bought a sorento 2 weeks ago for 1.27M. we got the LX limited version. no ABS, no EBD (same as EX, i think, but not quite sure now). it's 4wd (but not full-time) with 4wd low option. you can choose between automatic transmission or you can go manual because it is tiptronic. acceleration is adequate (140 ps). ride-quality is very good - no squeaks on rough roads.

it has fog lamps already and power antenna, driver-side airbag.

the following are items that it does not have compared to the 'local' top-of-the-line EX model: overfenders, remotely foldable sideview mirrors (but you can remotely control the sideview mirrors), wood grain on the dashboard, 2 additional speakers, 2-din stereo (it's only 1-din), speed sensing steering (it's only rpm-sensing), 245 size tires (it's only 225), illuminated vanity mirror (but it has vanity mirrors), tilt-adjustable driver headrest. i guess that's about it.

January '06 bibili rin ako ako ng Sorento CRDi, Ebony black/pewter color combination. Hintay ko lang complete separation benefits ko sa dating company para part of it pang down payment kaya tyaga muna sa lumang car. At least may idea na ako regarding Sorento CRDi dahil nga sa Sorento ng best friend. At least alam ko rin na maganda ang build at ang makina, alang problema. Baka kasi lumabas yong may pang 3rd row seat na model by next year. Kung hindi, okay pa rin ang 5-seaters.

Yung friend ko nakabili sa isang dealer ng kia imported na sorento full options may sunroof, 3rd row seat, naka-leather seats etc. ganda ng interior and malakas naman humatak ang makina. He got it for only 1.280
