Jrln,
A local Car Accessory here in Cebu, CFG sells Sorento Accessories. The rear clip-on cost you P2500, I got mine from that store. They have 2 branches one in Banilad, Cebu City and the other is in Cebu Business Park, Ayala Mall, Cebu City.
Gregg_g, thanks sa pag post ng ride mo. I'm just wondering with that rain-sensing wiper that your ride have. Does the speed of the wiper adjust automatically in relation to the amount of rain falling or it will start at slow pulses and you do the adjustment of the wiper speed after?
Yes... it adjust its speed to the amount of rainfall, also the headlights & the dash lights can also be set to auto on when darkness comes...Originally Posted by jeanpierre

That's cool stuff gregg_g. My ride got that auto headlights and dash light "on" stuff too. But I use to put it on manual kasi dumaan ka lang ng underpass sandali ilaw na sya agad. I'm afraid it will easily bust my fog light bulbs kasi sya palagi unang iilaw then pag madilim na talaga saka iilaw ang headlights.Originally Posted by gregg_g

P2500 for the rear clip-on mirror. hmmm. makes me think if i'll just have backup sensors instead which cost 4T+ only.
btw, what fuel consumption are you getting on your sorentos?
Me, too. I'm not that confident to use the tiptronic gate because of the fear na baka masira. Gumagamit ka rin ba ng diesel additive? Ako, tried Seaoil "Bio exceed " product. Mixed it with Shell diesoline ultra, maganda ang pick up ng makina parang di gasolina. Nilagay ko, 2Ltrs kada full tank ko (80Ltrs)Originally Posted by gregg_g
Okay din yong back up semsor kung yon ang gusto mo. Try mo papinturahan same color as your bumper para malinis tingnan. Yong clip-on mirror kasi adds flare sa likuranOriginally Posted by jrln

Mmmm.. not yet... Was planning.. but again change my mind... just pure diesel gasoline from Petron....Originally Posted by jeanpierre

any other sorento owners here? 3 so far ang active - gregg_g, jeanpierre and me, jrln.
sayang naman for a well-built vehicle to have a few owners only. sabagay, i dont blame other people for not believing in kia because of past experience on the kia pride. when we were hunting for an alternative to a fortuner, the sorento was not even in our minds. napadaan lang kame sa signet las pinas and saw a number of great-looking sorentos, test-drove one, loved it and the rest is history.
gregg_g and jeanpierre, loaded yung mga sorentos nyo talaga. ang galing! altho not sour-graping, the only thing in your rides that we're really missing and looking for is the 3rd row seat. hindi kasi maiwasan na maraming sasakay kung minsan.
btw, our unit is tiptronic also. and the side view mirrors are also half-chrome. we'll probably add OEM sidesteps next - medyo mataas kasi humakbang papasok/palabas sa sorento. and you're right, jeanpierre, pampaganda nga yung rear clip-on mirror. tnx.
Hi Jrln,
Yes, the stepboard is really a neccessity because without one you will have door sills full of scratches.....And yes the rear clip-on mirrors will really add beauty to our rides...
Gregg_g with your Sorento, gaano katagal ang warranty na ibinigay sayo? Di ba you bought it to a private car dealer? Buti di sila nahihirapan mag change oil sa ride mo kasi may nabasa ako na to access the oil drain plug, aalisin muna ang skid plate nya. Di ba sabi mo sa isang gasoline station ka lang nagpapaservice?
Jrln, how about your ride? Is it 3 yrs or 5 years? Don't lose your waranty certificate kasi later on kung mag pa service o may problema, hahanapin nila yong certificate. At as far as accessories is concerned, most of these KIA dealers accept credit cards na. Tapos sa renewal ng registration, you can just call your dealer at pwede nilang pick up docs mo sila na lalakad para di na na maabala. That's what my wife did last renewal ko
The skidplate is easy to remove. It's just held by a couple of bolts and drops right off.

Hi Sorento tlx! Welcome.
My Sorento and gregg_g Sorento have the same type of stepboard, OEM Sorento stepboard. Color is black. Mine I bought it from Wheels E.Rodriguez. I think the price is around 16K installation is free.
Yeah,it's true. Mas maganda ang Sorento pag bare lang ang front, walang bullbar. What is the color of your ride? Hope you will share with us some of the accessories installed in your Sorento. Enjoy your ride and hope to read more post from you soon.
yung mga bumili ng kia sa importer, who does the service? does the local kia dealers serve the warranty or not?
Jeanpierre & KCboy,
Honestly didn't have any support or warranty from the dealer that I got... Because of it being considered a grey unit... That's the risk that I have to take... The first service it went through was from a Gas station and recently and in the future is a local car shop that offers also parts for sorento.. Tri-J... For parts we have CFG and Autofocus...
877 motors will accept grey units for servicing but you have to pay 5k as registration... But you can source out the parts though..
Sorento TLX,
got the stepboard from CFG here in Cebu.. Price was 9k but it's a discounted price... Got it during their anniversary sale..
yun ang katakot....now am having secod thoughts....maya kung iservice nga ng local kia dealer ay sobra mahal naman o even worse, i sabotage nila para mahal singilin sa iyo.
