Price-wise, the Sorento LX is nearer to the Tucson GL CRDi and Sportage EX CRDi.
The Hyundai is almost a Wigo more expensive.

I've made up my mind,- our next ride would be a Sorento (and keeping up with my no brand loyalty thingy)...
Just waiting for the right moment and the right deal.... and most importantly,- the funding...... sana huwag maudlot....
(Bakit pa kasi ito ang inilagay sa uniporme nina pakyaw.... )

Are there people who hold onto brand loyalty in their car choices? Where's the fun in that?
Every day this week, I get this situation that I shift into reverse after being parked or during parking, but the gear does not respond. The reverse indicator and rear lights go on, but the car does not move.
I turn off the vehicle and restart, and then it now works. And then happened only once so far, I shifted into drive and it's underpowered for about 10 seconds then I felt a jerk and back to normal.
Can anyone give me an idea what's wrong with my Sorento? And if you know a decent reliable shop with experience on Sorento trannies?
Current gen sorento sir? Ours was the current gen XM. Experienced jerking and slipping clutch feeling wherin revs are high but the vehicle isnt moving much. But on our unit, the shift indicator acts up and does not display or displays the wrong gear location. Through ECU trouble codes inspection by Casa, the inhibitor switch is at fault.
Anyone installed a K&N airfilter on their Sorentos? Thinking about getting one but worried about warranty issues.

Good day po!
I have recently bought a 2005 kia sorento lx crdi manual transmission. Coming from owning a gasoline powered sedan, hindi ko agad napansin na merong unusual ingay sa transmission. I have asked several mechanics and have been reading around the internet and mukhang may bearing/s na kailangan palitan. A rattling noise is present when idling in neutral and disappears when i step on the clutch. Also, a metal grinding sound (parang maganit or kumakayod na bearing) can be heard every now and then when driving in lower rpms.
Since i'm not a fan of the casa, can anyone recommend a shop in banawe or evanghelista that is reliable when it comes to transmission repairs/overhaul? Gusto ko yung hindi opportunistic and trusted na. Preferrably experienced na sa 1st gen kia sorento.
maraming salamat in advance!!!
