All those except the cruise control can be added later on. But imo, lahat yan overrated accessories.

If you can't live without those and the awd, there's always the 1.7Million MS GTV, 2.8L Trailblazer, the 3.0 D4D Fort, FJ Cruiser and the higher priced options from Hyundai, Honda, LR, Lexus.

In the end, you'll see that the Sorento provides the biggest bang for your <1.4M bucks with discount

Hi everyone
Pls check if Kia sucat offers me a good deal. I am interested with the Sorento

1.Trade in ko ang Kia carens ko 2010 model. They offer 500k

2. Cash discount offer 100k. I will add this for my 20% downpayment. (Coz i still have to payoff bank amounting to 331.5k for my current carens loan).

As I wrote on my previous message (thanks to Newcomer123 for replying on it) I am still not fully decided for the Sorento 4x4 crdi 5 seater because of its bare look. Ayaw ko naman magsisis sa bandang huli.
Btw my carens right now is upgraded with camera, bluetooth and touchscreen HU.

I agree with others who said its cheaper to just get those aftermarket. Minsan nga unnecessary at distracting pa sa driving experience (e.g. do you really need AWD?). I went for the Sorento because for P1.3M, I get: a modern, powerful and quiet engine; a 6 speed AT tranny; monocoque and light body; and car -like handling.

New in sorento posting. But not new in cars

How much usually insurance and chattel mortgage? I forgot last time when I bought my carens and besides I got those free from my agent. But this time kia sucat c/o RD told me he can't afford to free insurance and chattel because my purchase would be through bank loan. Can I demand this to him. By the way I am into 4x4 crdi 5 seater variant.

Basta bank loan sa buyer ang insurance and chattel mortgage. Kuha ka ng insurance sa labas, nasa 37-38k yan for a 1.3M car. Chattel mortgage sa bank mo yan babayaran, dun ka sa bank na nagbigay ng loan sa iyo maki negotiate.

Oo nga, why 4wd? Kung hindi ka naman palagi sa beach or go through dirt roads di mo need yan. Remember a sorento is a SOFTROADER, hindi offroader. Kung sa akala mo pwede mo iakyat ang 4wd sorento sa pinatubo tje answer is a big NO.

i test drive mo na lang ng malaman mo ano sinasabi namin na "car-like handling". Di siya parang pick up or full size suv na hirap ka i maneuver o mabigat ang steering. Isang kamay lang gamit mo kahit na babae pa driver one hand driving lang. At responsive siya, madaling mag change lanes. Maganda sa corners, kahit mabilis di ka magaalangan iliko.

Sir Bokyo. Bakit po ba 4x4 gusto mo? Kung 4x4 rin lang go for Montero, Fortuner and the likes. Tama si sir yebo hindi po pang offroad and sorento.

From Sorento specs, the AWD system will weigh you an extra 70-80 kg. Para kang me kargang palagi na isang malaking tao. Syempre mileage will suffer a bit and also yung handling maapektuhan konti dahil sa dagdag bigat sa pangilalim.

Kung hindi ka naman mamumundok o mag sand surf, o mag baybay sa putikan, suficiente na talaga ang 4x2. Yung ABS nya ay mainam na sa cement at asphalt braking. And with only 9" ground clearance, talo ka sa offroad ng 4x4 pickup at baka masabitan pa mga ehe mo.

With the Sorento, what you'll get is a big and heavy car that can outsprint most mid level sedans. If you like to see your unwary passengers to bang their heads against the headrest, you won't be disappointed.

AFAIK, ang AWD mode ng Sorento eh only when the ECU thinks its necessary, meaning mag-activate lang siya kung maramdaman niya na hindi kumakapit ang isang gulong, and then only up to a certain speed. So most of the time naka-off lang yan. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Kasi why pay P100,000 and lug around 100kg more for something di mo naman gagamitin?

Yes but you also have the option to lock it to AWD at speeds less than 40kph. I am only using mine during floods. I dont know if i read it in the manual or somewhere. At normal driving. 90% of power is on front, 10% on rear.
