Just some clarifications regarding KIA's warranty like if you install HID or Horns... To what extent is the warranty voided?

^^ electrical warranty is voided including bcm (body control module) but not ecu.

make your mods without cutting any wires. make sure you use compatible sockets for the hid and horn so there are no wires cut. then when you go for a warranty claim put back the oem lights and horn.

Bro cvt, zix888 was the one who initially installed it. The second time around I installed it at the same spot/same plate ( also same with parakitojdm). I dunno why the CEL lighted the first time. Probably because I was stuck in traffic for 3 hours, then I gunned it when traffic cleared. I'm hoping that it wouldn't light up again. :D:D

Also, how is it, maintenance-wise being a FWD vehicle?

di ko na nabalik blanking plate ng egr, tinatamad e. saka baka kasi mag-cel ulit pag wala ako e wawa si kumander mawalan ng daily drive nya.
maintenance? outside casa na PM since 20,000km pa. last time dun sa shop ni kipper sa congressional (powertorq motors). motul crdi fs pero every 7500km oil change ko at panay short drives lang kasi, bihira maihataw ng malayo unless ilabas ng nlex just for hataw. pero 3 weeks ago nahataw ko siya to nueva ecija, nag-off road pa hehehe. iba tunog pagkatapos tumakbo sa tplex and sctex other than oil change and filter change sa shops e diy na halos lahat ng iba.
wala naman problems so far yung fwd nya. i just check the cv boots every time magpa-oil change, so far wala naman damage kahit nadadaan ko siya sa rough roads. no problems with wheel bearings, too. 34,000+ km na.

whaaaat? sinayang nila ang engine! ni-limit na nga nila to 190kph yung 2013, ngayon naman 120kph pa. buti na lang 2012 nabili ko walang limiter

di ba pwede alisin yung speed limiter?

after the egr. same spot. Kaso umilaw uli CEL after about 700 kms. got my obd scanner and reset the CEL. I didn't bother removing the plate. so far so good, but too early to tell. traveled around 450 kms palang after the 2nd CEL incident

My Sorento is serviced at KIA Pasay all the time. Great service, friendly people, and the pricing is competitive. Quick servicing pa, I bring the car in at 8AM, its done by 11AM. My Sorento is a 2011 4x2 Gas model by the way. No issues even after all these years, except for the fuel button. They had to replace it twice (under warranty). No charge to me, even if my Sorento has HID headlights and fogs, and a complete sound system upgrade including two amplifiers.

The OEM tire of my '12 Sorento is 235/65/17. I'm planning to replace it with a 265/65/17 tires. Before i actually check it at a tire center, i just want to ask if it will fit in the OEM wheels without touching parts of the car especially during full turns. Maybe some of you guys have tried it before.

Hi, guys! it's been a long time since i've been in to tsikot.
I drive a 2010/11 Kia Sorento EX AWD 7 Str. been driving it for more than 4 yrs now.
Just wanted to ask, has any of you experienced having the Airbag light on the dash always on? did you guys get it checked sa casa?
My shocks do not feel okay now and I want to replace them. any brands in mind that you can recommend?
One of my aircon vents (driver's side, inner vent) got broken. Anybody know where I can get one?
also, when braking hard and you suddenly hit a bump or pothole, do you guys feel the break pedal slipping down and you hear a *doing* sound in each bump or hole?

Ugh, I got an oil leak. I don't know where its coming from, but judging from the color (looks clear), its either power steering or transmission fluid. I hope this is covered by the warranty.

Mga sir, yun po bang 2015 na sorento ay available sa 5 seater config or yun pong previous gen ang may 5 seater? Galing po kasi ako sa showroom kanina eh yun TOTL lang ang nakadisplay. Di yata kami nagkakaintindihan nun agent kasi sabi niya meron daw na 5 seater pero mas maliit, same design/look with the TOTL. Can anyone verify this? Thanks!
