    inputs would be highly appreciated
You will need to remove the following.

    Air Filter Assembly
    Turbo Intercooler Assembly
Engine Cover (to expose the IP fuel lines to injectors)
Injection Pump high pressure lines (be careful when removing to avoid damaging the radiator fins)

after removing those, you can now remove the intake manifold

    remove the EGR
    remove heater connections

the intake manifold have bolts above and below, you just need a mirror to see the bolts below or use your hand to locate them

now you can remove and clean your intake manifold..

remember to bleed the high pressure fuel lines!!

ask someone to crank the engine (do not fully tighten the fittings at the injector!!) when the engine cranks, fuel will leak on the injector fittings, until the engine idles, slowly tighten each fitting until there are no leaks visible..

thats normal for kia carnival engine may usok talaga at idle.. i dont know the reason why pero yung mga isuzu crosswinds XUVi (yung may low charge turbo at EGR) also has the same "smoke belching" at idle.. same ng kia carnival.. better have your exhaust cleaned regularly.. pwede mo palagyan yan ng pipe sa exhaust para malinis mo ng husto..

also try to use other brand of diesel fuel.. may mga stations kasi selling low quality fuel kaya mausok ang engine

Hi, blinking hold indicator means something wrong with the valves inside the transmission. It will not or may not shift. I have once for a short while this problem. I called up the mechanics in one casa, they told me try to replace the transmission fluid first ans see if the problems is gone. Or else it need service. Pero my blinking problem was gone after few minutes.

    Thanks for your response...

I remember my problem started when I added a US Made (forgot the brand) power steering fluid bought
to Kia in one of the stores near Good Gear as recommended by the stand-by Kia Car mechanic there.

Please bear my ignorance, but does Kia Car work well on certain power steering fluid brand/s only?

    Hi guys!

nabenta na ung 01 LS carnival namin. I didn't meet the buyer kasi OFW na ako :D
Hope the owner will be happy with it and not give them headaches.

Dami ko ring adventures and mis-adventures with that van. Carrying 12 persons without breaking a sweat, Blasting countless starex vans on the hiway (no pun intended :P) , Taking it for a scheduled oil change and having the exhaust pipes cleaned, Driving it for hours without feeling tired, and most of all me complaining of body ache after a day of washing and cleaning the red van. Point is, i enjoyed owning the car.

    hinlog,

dexron II-E ang specified ps fluid for canivals/sedonas. you will see it in your owners manual.
