April 2nd, 2009 02:28 AM #2494sa carnival po rubber o-ring lang ang gamit. pwede mahila injector pataas medyo matigas nga lang pero nahuhugot then palitan na yung o-ring, wala naman problema pagbabalik and as long as tama ang pagkalagay ng injector bracket (yung parang-y shape) wala ng tatagas na langis, kakagawa ko lang ng sakin, nabali ko nga lang yung dalawang injector bracket sa sobrang hikit ng pagturnilyo ko. cost me 45 petot each for the two injector brackets, and 0 petot for the labor, syempre DIY lang.

April 4th, 2009 08:13 PM #2495Hi Im considering buying a 2003 kia sedona. This will be my first korean made purchase and im a little skeptical. The sedona has a automatic transmission, dual aircon, skyroof, SRS Airbags, power lock doors, LCD TV, stereo/ cd, captain chairs & fog lamps. Iv read most of the tread on the sedona but there is so much to read I was wondering what are the pros and cons of the sedona? How is it Maintenance & Repair wise? How is the quality of the interior and workmanship? thanks again

April 7th, 2009 03:48 PM #2498Hi, I agreed with mintoy it is a good car but time to time it need maintenance. I have a 2002 Carnival Park II since 2004. with all the years, I went through some problems with the car. Like the alternator, you have to check that the terminal (specially the screw that attched the terminal to the body of the alternator) will not get loose. If it get loose, you will get a lot of problem as I had experienced. The voltage went up to 18V which might burn your ECU. Luckily I didn't but I have to change the alternator and a cocking device for the airbag. Untill now time to time I have to tighten the screw. It get loose due to the vibration of the engine. You can avoid a lot of problem if you maintain properly the alternator. If you hear a clinking sound from a cold starting and it goes off after few seconds, you may need to consider immediately to change the oil pump and some accessories goes with it like timing belt, tensioner etc. But so far I learned that you have to change these every 70Tkm. I got the problem of hard starting also but it was solved by changing the fuel filter/manual pump. But I never got the problem of injector/nozzles. To avoid smoke belching, maybe you can remove the vaccuum hose to the EGR but you have to plug the hose. So far these are the major problems that I can remember.

April 7th, 2009 11:05 PM #2499bro, i had some alternator problems too. akala ko nagka problema sa airbag and abs cuz they kept on lighting up + battery keeps on draining. brought it to kia tramo. they has to replace the IC of the alternator. i got a brand new IC from goodgear. it was cheaper than casa.
maybe adding a lock washer in the scews will help prevent then from loosening.

April 8th, 2009 01:37 PM #2500Yes, last time when I had problem with the alternator as the terminal get loose and the voltage shot up to 18V, my airbag & abs lights all lite up. I replaced a good surplus alternator and I have the defective one repaired too. When you wire from the battery going to the alternator get hot specially at the terminal of the alternator which meant the it is getting loose. You have to tighten it specially the side screw which you can not see. This screw hold the terminal bolt to the internal field wire of the alternator. I found this out after all the trouble with the alternator. Hope this can help other Carnival user to prevent some problems.
