November 6th, 2006 03:29 PM #1391shauntot, ganun ang aircon ng ride natin. The rear has 4 vents, the front has 4 as well. But the front vents alone can cool the whole cabin. Pwede naman din iadjust yung thermostat, but I noticed it affects the front coldness only, yung rear, ganun pa rin ang lamig.
Problema siya sa gabi, at kung umuulan during the day. On the other hand, mabilis ipalamig ang loob on a hot day. Ayaw naman nila ipa on yung rear heater. The sedona (I don't know with the carnival) has a rear heater setting, it blows hot air at the feet level, at the rear cabin. It's independent to the aircon cooling system.

November 6th, 2006 04:58 PM #1392tnx sir altec and sir jabr! not sure if my carnival has a rear heater, i'll check but mukang wala kasi if it has, the controls should be at the rear next to the blower control?
so ok, mas malamig nga talaga sa likod, ok lang at least hndi maiinitan mga pasahero lalo na pag babytnx for the tip, pag gininaw try ko na yung front a/c lang paandarin. tnx!

November 6th, 2006 05:13 PM #1393yung pajero that has rear aircon, the vents are small. The sedona/carnival's rear aircon vents are huge compared to other dual aircon vehicles. And iba ang cooling efficiency ng rear side vents than rear front facing vents like in the hiace and auv series(hilander, revo, innova, adventure).
Magbaon na lang ng jacket o kumot sa kotse para sa mga anak mo?

November 7th, 2006 12:45 PM #1396Is fronte a Kia Casa or independent? Is P500 original or replacement? Sa Cebu kasi ako eh. May nagquote sa akin nga brand new 1,700 pero no installation, no painting. Extra pa yan. Kung 500 lang, ipapabili ko sa fronte na lang.
Diesoline, yung naputol sa iyo, yun ding area ng pivot pin? How did they fix it?
Hinlog, yung aircon tahimik yan. Walang ingay. If what you mean is a swirling noise that sounds like circulating water or something like that, with other rides that I noticed that sound, it usually means low level na ang freon or r134 mo.Last edited by altec; November 7th, 2006 at 12:48 PM.

altec::: in both instances, it was the pivot pin itself that snapped. luckily for me, that part can be fabricated easily. cost of replacing the pin and installing it (which includes dismantling the lock mechanism and bringing down the sidings) is P250.--
btw, here are the contact numbers of the banawe shops:
fronte: 7120864 / 7120919
karmelcon: 4143989
in pasay:
goodgear: 8338382 / 5110376

November 8th, 2006 11:11 AM #1398Hello Guys,
I seldom post here though I regularly read all your respective posts...my carnival kasi is Gas type and most of the rides here are of Diesel. But I'm proud to all of you who post regularly cos marami talaga ako natutunan sa inyo. Thank you for all the unselfish advise and sharing of experiences.
For those who can help, here's my problem...(parang drama sa radio ang dating). November 1, we went to Heritage along C5 Fort Bonifacio. On our way with my family, we stop at Market!Market! to buy flower. Nung start ko na ulit, the engine won't start, as in battery was discharged. A taxi driver helped me by lending me his battery to start mine...ang problem, everytime we take-out the battery terminal namamatay...in short alternator problem daw...at iniwan nya na ako kasi byahe pa rin sya. After 10mins, i tried my battery and it start! Immediately i dropped my family sa Heritage then I look for an Auto Electrical Service...luckily meron sa nearby. To cut the story short, narepair ang alternator ko at P300 only (as in kinalas to the smallest part).
The problem now is ayaw na gumana ang engine. Start is no problem, after 3 seconds mamamatay ang engine...as in parang nauubusan ng gas. We open the fuel line, wala naman problem sa fuel pump. To date, nandun pa rin sa talyer si Arnie (my carnival name) and they are suspected the computer box.
Hope some of you can give me some advise, kasi the mechanics are about to give-up.
Thanks in advance guys.

witch,
dont bet on the ECU just yet. i think you the same symptoms as altec or rodski's carnival before. the culprit was some sort of solenoid valve that controls the delivery of fuel into the engine.
the check engine indicator light will not come off in your instrument panel if indeed your ECU has a problem.
umiilaw nga ba?
and how did you jump start the battery when it died while you where in market market?

shauntot ,
ilang kms na mileage ng carnival mo?
Are they on track to surpass last year's sales?
