Ganun ba? Kaya pala kahit anong paghatak gawin ko sa choke knob, ayaw nya mag-activate

Seriously, I tried using it (unsuccessfully) about two times when I first got my Sedona. When I determined that my engine was idling fine from a cold start even without it, I simply decided I didn't need it. It never entered my mind that it was just a "prop."

Kia should have deleted the page pertaining to it in the manual so new owners wouldn't be confused.

Kahit po ba sa mga 1st gen Carnival disabled na yung choke knob?

On my Carnival Park II, if I wanted to increase the RPM, I turn the choke knob clockwise but I usually need to make 2 or 3 complete turns to take up the slack and rev a little for the engine to 'set' at the adjusted RPM.

shauntot, congrats on getting a carnival!! magsawa ka sa cupholders, nooks and crannies. we're sure your family will think you're the best for getting one. (mine certainly did)

leolop, my carnival doesn't have any significant wear on the inner tread of its tires. there is noticeable wear (at 8000++ kms) at the outer tread on the front mounted wheels. the shoulder blocks of the tread are missing na.

i had the tires rotated two days ago and the tire shop's supervisor remounted the tire so that this time the worn outer tread is on the inner side of the rim. that wheel was then placed on the rear. voila!! no more unsightly worn shoulder blocks. at least, for the time being, the tires all look relatively the same again. btw, this can only be done to tires with bi-directional tread. it cannot be done with the LM501 RV.

    welcome to the thread, shauntot.

leolep and diesoline - thanks for the warm welcome mga sir! my wife was excited to take our baby on her 1st ride in the carnival, natuwa sila ang yung maid di na mahirap masyado umakyat sa loob, sa pajero kasi dati ang taas, i had to support my wife if she was carrying the baby while going in the pajero.

we took it for our 1st family trip kahapon, sa mall of asia lang, pero sobrang comfy ng ride, tulog lahat ng pasahero ko pauwi pati yung 2 yaya! nagising lang sila nung nasa bahay na, i'm very glad i got the carnival. pang pamilya talaga

finally found what the choke is for and how to use it, pang adjust pala ng rpm pag malamig yung makina kaka start lang hehe

glad to be a kia tsikoteer! :D

funny. left side sliding door handle din ang nasira sa akin. i've posted it on this thread before. iba ang handles ng carnival sa sedona, according to them. but im dumbfounded to see the difference. maybe sa loob. and, when you buy a door handle kasama na yung plastic garnish which comes black from the factory so youll have to paint it to match the body color.

one door handle assembly costs 1,200.
My outer right sliding door handle broke last weekend. Mine is the sedona. Kia quoted me 3,800!! All in, package na daw, with painting and installation. Ouch! No parts yet. They will call me when it arrives. When I agree, they will have it prepainted, and installation takes 2 hours.

    Sir Shauntot:

Ganun din ang sa akin eh, mas malamig din ang rear aircon kesa sa front. Siguro universal na yun.
