I'm bringing our sedona to manggahan service center for check up (2nd opinion) kasi Korean Tech's are there......SPECIAL THANKS TO MY BRO, DIESOLINE!...yun nga lang, habulin ko before 5PM, sana umabot.

    need help/ advise.

    thanks.
Have you verfied f it really is the modulator? As what the casa told me, when the ABS light and/or brake lights is on occasionally when you brake, it may mean worn out brake pads. So have the pads checked first. Our pads wear out faster than normal cars because it is front wheel drive, and the weight is very heavy, thus extra effort on our brakes to stop the car.

Update on my battery and alternator. I checked its load this noon time with a multi tester. Checked its voltage from the battery terminal after switching on the engine. Then switched on the lights, put in high beam, aircon, stereo, hazard, with the interior lights also on, then pressed on the horn. Very very slight fluctuation on the voltage, which is very very good even when revved. As compared to the previous, where a drop of over 1 volt is observed, even closer to 2 volts. When revved, it also fluctuates, but this is observed more with the use of all accessories.

So far so good. If its either due to the bigger alternator, or the 100amp battery, or both, I don't know for sure, but as of now, everything is fine.

    Hi All,
It's been a while since I have posted and visited the forum but I was wondering if any of you could help me. I have a 2002 Carnival Park II and I lost my horn last night and I can't seem to find out if its a fuse problem. I opened both fuse box in and out but unfortunately the writings at the back of the panel cover is in korean. Anybody can help me or provide me a scanned copy of the writings at the back of the panel cover or if you have a manual that shows the panel. TIA

Ang malas naman, I checked the fuse it's okay. I checked the relay, it's okay. I checked the horn manually, it works. What's next? Any suggestions? Hirap lumakad ng walang busina..........

    -perform 50,000 km check up
    -change oil & filter
    -tune up engine
    -check all brakes
    -check all belts
    -check all lighting system

The 9 to 11 thousand pesos estimate of your friend is way to high, unless of course there are major/costly parts to be replaced. If you are planning to visit Hyundai/KIA Sucat, look for Mang Ben Narvaez or Randy. Both of them were formely connected at KIA Las Pinas and very competent with regards to Carnival's troubles.
    Hi Jabr,

    Thanks..sabi sa akin pinalitan yung
    Timing Belt
    Change Oil
    Oil Filter
    Transmission Oil
    Engine Support
    Brake Pads
    Engine Tune up

Next time pa try ko yung suki mo sa Sucat.

    Thanks and BR,
    Josiel

If it works at that end, then the problem is at its origin. Start from your steering wheel starting point. Baka di nagkocontact yung mga terminals when you press down from your manibela.

Aaargh, my parking brake cable just broke

It's a good thing I was able to disengage it, and that I was about to park for the night before it happened. Here's a composite photo showing (top) the parking brake handle that broke off, and the separate parts (bottom) after I had unscrewed them. The blue arrow indicates the area where the metal gave way.

Anyone know where I could get a replacement for this part? I guess I have to go auto supply hopping tomorrow. Sigh.

    P.S.

For those new to the thread, my ride is a 2002 Sedona.

Ingat na lang, Carnival peeps. I left the parking brake disengaged for the night and just put the van in gear. Now I know why I prefer vehicles with handbrakes.
