Thank you sa mga response. new owner of Kia Rio lang kasi. Accent at Rio kasi pinagpipilian ko dati, madami kasi issues ung accent kaya ung rio napili ko.

What i meant to ask sana kung ang mga kappa engines ba ay octane-responsive din gaya ng gamma engines? I visited kia picanto thread din and may mga gumagamit ng 95 RON(xcs,gold...) and 93 RON(xtra unleaded, fuelsave...) On the manual nakalagay 91 RON or higher.

Just wanna know the performance of the car when you put ung mga xtra unleaded or fuelsave. Right now kasi im using xcs, medyo ok naman FC and ung engine response. syempre mas mura kasi ung mga fuelsave

Aking kasi Rio HB / AT. First time ko nag try ng Petron Extra Unleaded, parati ako naka apak sa gas at medyo hindi ko gusto yung hatak.
Nag try din ako ng Fuel Save, maganda yung engine response pero, kailangan ko rin umapag sa gas.

Ikaw, try mo for yourself at look for the feel you want. Kasi tayong mga drivers, may ibat ibang feel andar.

Kung cost savings lang naman, few centavos lang naman ang difference with regular and premium so parang hindi mo rin ramdam. For example, sa amin ngayon sa Petron, extra unleaded is 48 pesos, XCS is 48.10 pesos. 10 centavo is not that costly. And if you will compare the quality, sa XCS na ako kasi may mga additives na kasama yun to enchance your engine).

Marihap talagang maka mura sa gas, lalo na pag na traffic ka. Unless bumaba pa lalo yung gas.

Meron ba dito nakapagpalit na ng head unit? Gusto ko rin kase and nagcanvass na ako sa Kia, medyo mahal lang kase kasama pati screen sa headrests. Di pa ako nababalikan kung magkano pag magpapalagay sa mga headrest. Key features that I want is GPS, TV tuner, DVD/VCD/MP3 player.

Meron ding akong Rio HB. I have tried both unleaded (93) and premium (95). Mas maganda nga talaga humatak pag premium ang gamit. Hindi naman ako naka-experience ng kumakatok yung makina when I used unleaded or premium. Meron kase ditong nagsabe na gumanun daw yung Rio HB nila.

Now, premium na gamit ko, konti lang difference tsaka parang mas matipid pa tuloy kase mas magaan apak sa gas. Try mo kahit 500php worth of premium; ramdam mo naman agad.

Tsaka para na rin sa iba.. Nakukuha ko kase ang fuel consumption ko ng mga 10-11 km per liter. Pag medium traffic, mga 8-9 km per liter. Ang ginagawa ko, hinay lang ako apak sa gas, maraming pasensya, medyo mabagal lang minsan mag-accelerate, pero kelangan para makatipid. Tapos naka-set display ko sa Instantenous Fuel Consumption para mabantayan kong wag lumagpas ng 10L mark.

Damn!!! 5.3-5.6km/L on the last fill up? Hinde na normal yan unless natutulog ka sa loob ng Rio mo na naka-start yung engine tas di ka gumagalaw!

Chevy spark owner here. Just refueled the tank. 625 kms 42 liters = 14.93 kms/ltr. My full yank lasts me a month. Purely city driving. Tandang sora - Ortigas and back. I use it 6-7 times a week. with short runs over the weekend. I drive it like a race car in the city, pushing it to its limits. Damn! I love my chevy!!!

All along I thought I was at a chevy spark thread.

Baka carb engine si kia rio. sino gumawa solex, mikuni or etc.

i am using an ex/mt here in davao. my odo is 2117km. the best that i got in city driving so far is 7.5km/liter but i am confident that i could get the fc better once the holidays are over. unusually heavy traffic kasi. lalo na ngayon alam ko na kung anong style ng driving ang gusto ng computer ng rio.

i have 7.3L/100KM on the computer dashboard driving here in manila. When I brought it to clark, (where roads are open), it dropped one time to 6.3L/100KM. that's with 70% highway driving. I use flying V premium fuel.. I think I get better mileage from it thank compared to Petron blaze. So far.. Happy..

But anyone can answer ano ung aircon settings na matipid? When I got our innova from toyota, the S.A. told me to hit the compressor at full cold then the fan at 1 or 2.. is this true? any thoughts??

the compressor rpm is proportion to the engine so what you are setting to full is the fan and the temperature depends on the size of the condenser, the bigger the better. hope this helps.

He was probably talking about the thermostat dial. But the answer to his question is obviously the highest possible setting that he will feel comfortable. Setting to coldest makes the compressor always engaged so engine load is heavier.

Hey guys, Is there already a solution for the engine knock for the Kia Rio HB 2012?
I plan to bring mine (10 months old) to the casa to have it inspected. Ang lakas ng sound na parang "TUPETE." Engine knock daw yun said a friend. I use only petron xcs.
Isa pang sira... I can hear noise from the axle naman sa left (driver) side. You can hear it and notice it kapag dinaan mo sa maliit na lubag or even dun sa mga breaks ng kalsada. Ganyan din sira ng first car ko before nung 1988 Ford Laser.
I plan to bring my Kia Rio HB sa Fort, Global city kasi near my place though hindi ko dun binili yun unit. OK lang ba yun? Kasi yun casa daw kung saan ko binili yun unit ay nasa sucat pa... ang layo. I live in Pasig only.

Hindi ako naka experience ng knocking sa xcs. Try mo muna lipat ng gas station.

xcs at gold lang ginagamit ko at so far walang knocking.

Last full tank ko 8.58km/l, 70% city. 1.4 hb.

Malakas parin sa gas talaga. Iniisip ko sa change oil ko gumamit ng RP na oil baka kasi may improvement

Try using Nitro+.. yun ginagamit ko.. so far so good... malapit na mag 8888 mileage ko.

As for CASA, sa fort global ako nagpa1st n 2nd PMS.. pwede mo mabantayan hatch mo. Sobrang laking factor yung pwede mo bantayan kotse mo habang ginagawa. May masesermonan na naman nga ako ulit pagbalik ko dun for 3rd PMS.

may 0.5-1 km/L difference sa computer vs manual computation.

6.++ pa kamo! hahaha. But that's Binondo traffic... Sa maayos na city driving.. 7-8km/l I think.

Ito mga pointers pag nagpaPMS ka..
1. 4 bottles of motor oil ilalabas sa stockroom. Dapat meron ka mauwing 1 na bawas na. Technically 3.++ L ang oil na gagamitin.
2. Pagtapos mo mag paPMS, ikaw mismo magfull inspect ka din sa car. Kung nalock ba mabuti mga dapat ilock sa engine mo.
3. Don't leave the car out of your sight for more than 5 mins. (OC lang siguro ako haha..)
4. FYI ZIC oil gamit sa Fort Global branch. Wala na daw sila KIA oil (Mineral)

Did my first pms today. Cost me around 3.9k. All materials were from kia sucat. 1.4AT HB

Sabi sa akin ng service advisor. Nasabihan sila ng planta na may balita na malakas sa gas ang rio. Sabi daw ng planta, magpatakbo ng 100-120kms pag pwede dahil daw titipid ito in the long run. Pitik pitik lang daw at wag magbabad sa speed na yun.

Im not sure pero yun rio ko di ganun katakaw sa gas kumpara sa iba,siguro ito ang dahilan. Break in period ko, hinataw ko na pa batangas nun less than 1k palang ang odo. Then dahil im from south, naitatakbo ko ng 100 unit ko tuwing gamit ko.

Hindi kasing tipid ng iba ang rio ko pero not that bad na sa 8-9km/l ko na nakukuha tuwing full tank ko. Sana lang maging mas matipid pa pagtagal.

Yun may mga problema sa FC, try niyo ibirit birit rio niyo, baka in the long run maging matipid.
