Well the K2 is not a Rio, its a China-market Kia, I guess thats a hint.
We'll most likely get the Rio sedan coz its a Rio.
With the popularity of the Fiesta hatchback, I wonder if Columbian Autocar Corporation will bring in the Rio hatchback here.
PS: For those wondering, those are 205/45R17 tires on 17 inch alloys.Last edited by AG4; April 22nd, 2011 at 04:26 PM.

From the Press Release of the Kia K2.
Based on the platform of the all-new Kia Rio, which made its world premiere at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in March, the new Kia K2 was designed and engineered specifically for the Chinese market and will enter production at Dongfeng Yueda Kia's manufacturing facility in Jiangsu province starting this June. A 5-door hatchback of version of the Kia K2 will commence production in August of this year.
Optima = K5
Cadenza = K7
The Rio is called Pride in Korea not K2.
The small Rio-based chinese sedan is probably called "K2" because it looks like a miniature K5.
Just visited the Korean Kia site.
Global names & Korean names
Opirus/Amanti = Opirus
Cadenza = K7
Optima = K5
Forte/ Cerato = Forte
Rio = Pride
Picanto = Morning
Soul = Soul
So no small model carries the "K" model naming.
...and they also use odd numbers.Last edited by AG4; April 25th, 2011 at 03:58 AM.

One of the few times where the sedan looks better than the hatch. I like the vw like bumper grill. It looks good but i like the k2 more. The interior of the rio looks better though.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
