Just saw the rio sa MOA kanina. It looks really nice and looks quite big. Accdg to the SA, 1.2L and 1.4L ang variants. Malamang yung sedan yung 1.2 and hatch yung 1.4.

Mukhang nanghuhula din sila e. Wala daw diesel. One thing's sure... Ilalabas yung hatch with 1.4L engine which is a good decision. Pricing nalang. The 1L picanto is 549k and the 1.6L Soul is 899k. We expect the Rio to be priced in between.

I just saw the kia hatchback sa moa. They are accepting reservations (5k) although december pa daw labas ng specs (???). Top of the line unit the will be around 850 to 900k (estimated daw). The one on display is a euro unit. Maganda mags kaso iibahin daw yun sa release dito. I got pics. Will post it when I get home. Or tom baka gabihin eh. Hehehe

Bilis nila magtaas ng presyo a. The other day lang 600k to 700k lng estimate nila. The SA probably knows as much as we do so I would take everything they say with a grain of salt. At least we know na its coming soon.

I asked that question too. Answer to me is definitely iba ang gulong. European version daw yung nasa display and hiram lang daw nila. For now intay intay muna tayo ng official statement. Holding off buying or reserving anything. Ito at yung Accent Hatchback ang pagpipilian ko. Also lalabas din daw veloster sa december. If the specs are near the gray market ones mukhang ok din ito (although sabi sakin around 1.5M daw price. )

Kia cant price the rio like that. Meron na silang panlaban sa 1.6L, which is the Soul at 899k. If what I heard from the SA is right, 1.4Llng top of the line ng Rio, and its quite outrageous kung pantayan nila presyo ng 1.6L Soul sa 1.4L na Rio. Lalangawin lng Rio if ioverprice nila, no matter gaano kaganda sya...

Iba iba yata pricing depende sa SA na pinagtanungan hehehe. Iba iba kasi dealer eh. Nung una kami pumunta dun my father asked to test drive a Sorento and sinamahan pa kami nung SA na kausap namin. I asked that SA kung may details na yung Rio and wala pa daw. Next year pa daw malalaman. After the test drive we went around, we went there again coz my father forgot to ask the SA something. Hinanap namin and wala na yung SA. We asked another SA and we showed him yung calling card na bigay nung SA. Sabi nya, "ay wala na po. tapos na yung shift nila. Iba iba po kasi dealer and may mga shifts po kami". So I asked the new SA about any details, while asking someone heard us and mukha syang manager and he answered yung mga tanong ko. Pero iba sagot nila when asked when available, specs will be announced sa december and they are accepting reservations and the manager guy said yung price nga nung high end nila is yung sinabi ko. I didn't get a definite answer from them though, kaya sabi ko hintay na lang ako pag may specs na at pricing na sigurado. And we weren't there for the Rio kaya yung attention namin is nasa Sorento hehehe.

no 1.6 gdi engine? that explains the rear drum brake. it's only 1.4 gamma and lousy 4 speed matic instead of the 6 speed matic for 1.6 gdi

nagtext ako sa SA ng kia congressional, early next year ang release ng 2012 rio hatchback. 835k ang SRP. I was hoping the 2012 rio will be a viable option to the ford fiesta pero kung matuloy ang 835k na SRP, masmahal pa ito kaysa sa Fiesta S.
