My Carnival has reached 80,000km. The casa told me that, as part of the 80,000km service, the timing belt needs to be changed. They will need 4-5 days to do this. I accept that the timing belt has to be changed, Does anyone know of a faster (and quite possibly cheaper) alternative?

kalye shop can do it 1/2 day try to visit goodgear at pasay or fronte in banawe. they have oem/ replacement parts and in-house mechanics

Thanks, imperialv. I did speak with Kia Pasay earlier today. They claim they can do it overnight. (It was Kia Global City which quoted 4-5 days.) I will take your advice and buy the parts outside.

i installed dpchip from berrima diesel for my carnival. torque now is up. i can feel the difference. my carnival can now change with ease to higher gear below 2000rpm on automatic mode. dati above 2000rpm before gear shift from 1st to 2nd to 3rd gear. ngayon at 1700-1800rpm nag upshift na siya. also the hp is up. above 3500rpm kaya pa niya mag accelerate. dati above 3500rpm wala na. fuel consumption observe ko pa though tingin ko minimal lang siguro kasi short distance travel lang ako. sarap na mag overtake sa highway.

Hindi ba nakakapanghinayang bumili ng KIA CARNIVAL sa ngayon?...Naisip ko lang kasi, the current carnival now is model 2007 pa. Baka lang pagkakuha mo ng bago biglang may lumabas na 2013 or 2014 model. Since matagal na rin kasi tong current model. So, might as well wait na lang muna. We'll its just me siguro thinking like this but im still tempted to get carnival soon. may konting dillema nga lang dahil sa naisip kong ito...ano kaya sa tingin nyo, may ilalabas kaya ang KIA newer model CARNIVAL?

Yung Starex nga 2007 din.. Yung Fortuner 2005 and Innova 2005.. Dami pa din bumili.. Wala pang spy shot na lumabas for an all new CARNIVAL. .SO ok pa siya as of now..

Atleast yong fortuner, innova at starex mayroong mga facelifts/improvements na ginawa. eh yong carnival mula nung lumabas to ng 2007 wala na pinagbago.

i'm not sure kung my rev limiter yung carnival kasi parang ayaw ng umakyat yung rpm pass the 3200rpm at 5th gear. though nag improve talaga siya from top speed of 160kph to 180kph with dpchip. my fuel consumption slightly improved parang from 9km/l to 10.5km/l (average speed is 100-120 km/l)

comparing to grand starex vgt,which van will give a higher top speed? mas malakas ang hp rating ng starex vgt *178hp but its weighs more and taller pa siya so i guess mas malakas ang wind drag sa starex. siguro halos same lang

Regarding back up sensors, recently the sensors aren't working properly. It just beep intermittently even if you work close to it, instead of long beep. Now it seems to just stop working at all. What could be the problem causing this? Is there any way to have this check and repair? TIA.

hi guys, i'll be getting a Carnival SWB silver automatic next week, 2nd to the last currenty available a/t swb here sa atin, my question is, ilang speed ba sya? til 5 ba or 4 lang? medyo nalilito kasi ako, dahil sa brochure nakalagay 5 speed,1-2-3-4-5-R or 1-2-3-4-R? sobrang excited na ako..hahaha..sawang sawa na ako mahirapan sa pag park nung van namin(Ford E150), sobrang laki kasi, thats the same reason kaya i didnt opt for the LWB version. ayoko naman ng innova, kasi maliit rin sha for a mini van, bitin ng onti, sweet spot talaga yung size ng carnival
