b. Maintaing a KIA Carnival could be a nightmare if you're not used to arguing/dealing with stubborn SAs. Ang number one priority yata nila makatipid ang dealer at hindi para ma-satisfy ang customer. Nagtataka naman ako, hindi naman sa kanila ang KIA Phils! Nagpapa-uto sila sa mga Koreano eh kasama naman sa bayad nating mga consumers ang warranty! Hindi naman talaga free yan.

Don't get me wrong, the Carnival is a premium family van. Comportable talaga lalo na sa mahabang biyahe! Hwag lang masisira, hwag lang me kailangang i-claim against the warranty. PI, mamumuti ang buhok mo kakaintindi!

Ayokong mag devil's advocate with you.. Pero iba naman ang experience ko sa Kia Pasay.. So far, I am happy with the claim... For example, yung rotor disc ko walang 1 week...

Pero I agree with you, mahal ang parts ng kia carnival compared sa ibang korean units like sa SF...

mga sir, experience ko lang...... after few days of heavy rains, may pumasok sa water from my both quarter sides na glass..... good thing yun water na accumulate sa bottle holder at hindi nag spill sa floor... after taking it to the dealer, agad agad nila inoorder yun rubber parts for the glass at cover yun ng warranty....... so far so good ang dealer ko dito sa amin.....mag 20 months na baby carnie ko!!!

Hi guys,,

FYI lang.. Nasira yung door actuator RH sliding door ko... Since its out of warranty na, I asked Kia Pasay kung magkano yung parts... As usual, they informed me that I need to buy the whole assembly which also include the controller module in order the sliding door will move electronically... The price of the assembly is 9+++ ... out of stock pa...

Fortunately, they gave me another alternative, kung gusto ko daw na baklasin yung actuator and they will check if the motor for the controller module is the same with the actuator.. Nuong binaklas namin, mas mahaba ng few millimeters yung sa actuator... So nag trial na lang kami if it will work.... Ayun,, nag work...

So malaki ang natipid ko...

Parts .. PHP500.00
Labor.. PHP850.00

TOTAL COSTS... 1350..

Pwede na...

Ang medyo bad trip lang is walang kahit anong freebies na kasama. Ganon ba yan kasi bagong model (2010 or 2011) or kasi di ko pa pinipiga yung sales person? Wala man lang kasamang matting or seat cover na kasama.

papsi, seat cover, matting and tint are standard freebies...... malamang gusto ibulsa ng salesman yun at ibenta sa u.... find another dealer!

paps, sakit din ng carnival natin yun goma... yun pinsan ko pinalitan nya goma....

anyone have changed their ATF????? ano po fluid brand ginamit nyo at magkano per quart???? im about to change na kc....

oo nga.. feeling ko baka goma.. nuong nagrotate ako ng gulong.. nag wiggle na yung harap ... ilang balancing na ginawa hindi naman nawala.... observe ko uli.

nag erratic off and on ang battery and brake indicator ng aking 2008 manual carnival. dinala ko sa kia pampanga. sabi nila minor problem sa alternator. iniwan ko but it took them 6 days to finish the repair. Nagpalit sila ng "ic", carbon brush at ni rewind ang alternator. nagpalit din sila ng aircon belt dahil marupok na daw. 35T kms na carnival ko. Mabuti nalang na cover pa ng warranty, but I had to literally argue for the warranty until the end.

kung warranty yan, bakit nila repair yung alternator. dapat palit yan... Mine was replaced last year...

FYI guys,

Sino na nag palit ng RR Brake pads.. Mahal sa casa 4K+...

Part No. is KIA 58302-4DA00.. Matagal ng out of stock sa good gear, fronte and seiring... Sa sering 3K+++

So bumalik ako sa good gear and asked for a replacement since namamahalan ako... Buti na lang, one of the seller told me na pwede yung pang grand starex.... nuong una hesistant ako, pero pinakita nya sa computer nila na isang row lang yung brake pads ng grand starex and grand carnival... So I took the chance of buying it since 1,850 lang and pwede naman refund... Iba kasi ang itsura ng pads pero yung pinaka frame nya pareho... So pinalik ko sa dealer to have it installed.. Ayun pwede.... So kinabit na ... kaso ang ginamit yung old clip ko since mas tama yung old clip kaysa dun sa bago... If you will look the brake pads - fit na fit...

So mga kia carnival owner...

eto yung part no...

HYU 58302-4HA000 ... Feeling ko naman mas ok eto kaysa replacement since pareho naman sa van and feeling ko mas mabigat si starex... and mas importante, mas cheaper pa...

ganun din ang problem ko.. anyway, sana hindi ka pumawag and dapat replace yun since under warranty naman... :-)

Update again guys....

Lucky me..

Nuong nag papapalit ako ng brake pads, I asked Kia Pasay to check the fr rotor disc, mukhang warp naman.. Since napalitan lang siya last November, sinabi ko bakit warp agad.... Ayun hindi pantay ang kain ng rotor.. hmmm.. since January, 2011 nag lapse ang warranty ko, I told them kung pwede pa repaste.. Sabi sa akin, sir paapprove natin at baka pagbigyan pa tayo for warranty... Luckily it was approved.. so waiting na lang for parts...

As I said, lucky me... Cheers to Kia Pasay and Columbian Motors..

sa ngayon naghahanap ako ng magandang seat covers. baka mag boy C na lang ako kaso ang mahal.. hehe... baka may masuggest kayo? BTW, had very bad experience with seatmate so wag na lang. minurder nila yung sa landcruiser ni daddy. as in panget talaga.

had my brakepads replaced as well, front and back. quote sa akin sa casa 5900 for front and 5900 for back. lol.

buti na lang may goodgear. hehehe... had korean replacements installed, ok naman so far, cost me 2100, 1600 sa parts(front and back) and 500 sa labor. hehe...
