sir drkiko. for accessories you can try goldrich sa banawe. dito ako bumili and install ng rear spoiler baka may fog light sila. for mags aand tires pwede kahit 17" . may carens is fitted with 17" and 225/50 tires

Guys ang KIA Carens EX ko 49K ang mileage parang malakas na sa diesel, nakaka 7km/ltr na lang city driving. ano kaya magandang gawin dito. any suggestion. Thanks in advance.

EX so automatic sya? are u using Manual mode lagi? if yes, try mo lang sa D mode. then avoid Idling, we all know this kills your gas mileage. saka keep your car in tip top condition..... also pagdating sa driving habit, avoid jack-rabbit starts. kung hinay hinay lang sa acceleration, malaki impact nun sa fuel consumption. also kung nakikita mo na malayo pa RED light na, i-coast mo na lang to avoid fuel wastage. and best of all, try to change your travel time to off-peak para di ka matrapek and di makunsumo. hehe.

Thank you for your help. Will try Goldrich in Banawe as suggested. May I ask sir where is this shop near? Orthopoedic side of Banawe or the side near E. Rodriguez. Again thanks for the inputs. Would like to change to bigger mags but Im afraid
of my warranty being voided so will retain the 15 inch tires for now but will replace the steel rims with magwheels.

*parakitoJDM, thank you sa suggestion, (by the way I am using AT verson) but I tried all this things, parang pinalaki ba nila ang butas sa ECU or walang control ang ECU kaya panay lamon ng gas hahahah. I will try to make a full tank then I will run about 50km then I will make full tank again ang I will check deeply, to see 100% accurate consumption. tnx again

Hi Carens owners, I requested a quotation from KIA Alabang today and the quoted price of the 2011 Carens LX MT was Php889,000. I am choosing between an Innova E and Carens. And I found the Carens to be the better choice. However, I have not seen the actual Carens car.. napakadalang kasi sa daan or sa mga parking lots. I asked KIA Alabang if they have a unit, meron daw kaso kukunin na raw bukas (lucky owners).

I have a question, how is the space between the last seat row and the backdoor? Without folding the 3rd row seat, can it fit a 20kg luggage or a balikbayan box (medyo exaggerated)? Likewise, if you also own an Innova, is that space behind the 3rd row seat just enough to fit the luggage/box? Any pictures showing this space would be helpful or a link maybe. At isa pa po, pag puno po ba ang car (7 pax seated, not overloaded), di naman po ba lubog ang sasakyan (if it's not equipped with leaf springs)?

Hi, the exact distance of 3rd row seat and a backdoor is 10 inches only much smaller than Innova which 14 inches, if you fold the 3rd row of Carens you have a huge space and if not enough you may fold the 3rd row and become flat all the way. The width of Cares is 1.8mtrs so enough 4 person in the 2nd row (each person sized 60Kg) and the 3rd row 3 person of around 50kg sized. Carens is powered so you dont worry about the load. *daxbrandy, sir if you need more space then innova would best fit your requirement, the same as if you require more weight to transport. ive tried 6 adults and 2 kids, power-wise walang problema pero pag nakita mo yung rear wheels, nakabukaka na, hehehe, wont do it again

I believe naka bukaka talaga because of the type of suspension of the carens.

Mga Sir, Any info if magkano po ung fuel filter sa Carens? Nasa 20k na ung ODO reading ko. Namamatay ung engine when driving at low rpm. It will then turn on in a while tpos nawawa rin ung sakit. Diesel AT ung carens ko. Fuel Filter daw pero idiagnose pa nila baka marumi lng ung sa tank... Magkano po fuel filter dyan sa Manila?

Hello to all Carens users.

Currently hunting ako for a ride (Diesel A/T, at least 7 seaters if needed lang naman) na mostly gagamitin sa city drive and can be use for out-of-town ride during holidays. I have seen na bumaba yung price ng CARENS 2.0 LX AT * Php 949k pero parang nabawasan yata yung accs nya like alloy mags. Care to share po kung anong difference ng 2009 sa 2011 LX AT model?


Hopefully meron dito gamit ang kanyang Carens daily that travels during rush hours (8AM & 6PM travelling in EDSA) on city drive. Gusto ko lang makakuha ng direct info kung ano ang ave FC nya within these occasions? Care to share your out-of-town FC also? Hoping lang na may magbigay ng feedback kasi bihira ako makakita ng Carens dito sa Metro.


Meron bang aftermarket rear shocks ang CARENS na pwedeng i-set yung stiffness nya? parang may nakita kasi ako na lima lang silang adult pero nakabuka na yung rear tires nya. some might say better get an Innova pero feeling ko kasi masyado malaki yun kung esmi ko naman ang magdadala. saka for a bigger ones mas prefer ko MT.


Per my reading here sa Forum, mukhang mahirap yata makahanap ng maayos na casa for the PMS. Saang KIA branch ba ang No. 1 in terms of customer satisfaction? Did anyone of you tried Central Diesel sa QC for tuning their Carens?


Kapag nag 16" ang mags/tires, tataas po ba ang ground clearance ng Carens?


During PMS, pwede bang bilhin sa labas yung mga consumables like engine oil, ATF, fluids, filters etc.. then CASA ang gagawa para labor lang ang babayaran sa kanila?

Warranty; racks & pinions, shocks, door solenoids are not covered? i thought yung mga bearing, bulbs, fuse and consumables ang hindi covered. Please enlighten me your experiences.

standard LX vs entry LX: mine is 1.1M vs 949K, dual airbags vs. driver-only bag, same as EX ang head-unit vs 1-din HU ( atleast extra cubby hole).

lx have no alloy whees, fog lights, painted sidemirror, chromes...at roof rail.. di ko sure kung may seat-under tray ang EX

nice.. enjoy the power of your carens.. hehe amaze mo sila yung lakas ng hatak ng carens na mapapasandal ka talaga sa upuan pag sumibat hehe...

medyo madami na na iba sa carens.. isa na yung aircon fan speed.. yun samin 8 steps sa ngayon ata 4 steps na lang.. still for the price eh sulit na din

yung sa rear wheels na bumubukaka normal lang yan... no need to worry kasi front wheel drive naman carens eh.. sa mga naka rear multi link suspension ganyan talaga.. look at crv and the likes.. mas worse pa ang pag buka

maganda na yung nakuha mo. Bumaba na price. Nakuha namin nung 2008 LX A/T at P1.1 wala pang airbag kahit sa driver's side. Difference lang naman is yung radio and upuan sa likod (two piece folding seat dati versus 1pc bench).
