ser Supermarine, update mo na lang kami how it turned out...suerte mo u can have it replaced under warranty. ang Carens ko just finished its warranty period of 3 years last July...kung sakaling masira etong "Dual Mass Flywheel" mahal na gastusin nga.... kasi minsan during accelerating fm. a dead-stop i can feel some strange vibration depende sa bilis ng clutch release and road incline (flat means less stress and no vibration)... kung may Part Number ka pa-share na din....with piktyurs would be great.

cost me about Php7K for the tweeter and Sub....plus another Php1K for the tools i bought to help me remove parts (Stanley ratchet alone wass Php450.. for removing the seat bolts) the worse one though was it occupied about 3days of my time as i wasn't familiar how to remove the interior plastic trim and getting the Red cable to the engine bay and to the battery was a real challenge. haha.
over-all i'm quite satisfied with the outcome.

Good day to everyone. Galing ako from Kia Quirino yesterday at may isang brick red na Carens na papalitan rin yung dual mass. Nakalatag na sa floor yung assembly at nakita ko yung tinutukoy. Nakakabit sa main flywheel at parang casing na puro springs para mag-absorb ng torque. Kung baga, yung springs na dati ay nasa clutch disc ay hiniwalay nila at nilakihan. Ang play tolerance nito ay dapat 10 mm lang. Pag lumagpas dito, mag-iingay and/or mag-vivibrate.

ser good find, pa piktyuran mo yung sa 'yo. so yung Red carens eh Manual din ba? pagkaka-intindi ko kasi ang Dual Mass Flywheel eh pareho meron ang M/T and A/T...mali ba? tsk tsk, magkano daw estimate ng Casa mga Php60-70K ba 'yun? yung Goodgear kaya meron na 'nun?

ser Bogart, nagtitipid lang. haha. but on a serious note i just hate mechanics, installers who at the end of the job let's me know i have excess screws, just their lame excuse of doing a poor job. it happened to me several times in the past...

now your question is about what [electrical connection or / wiring lay-out] u can't imagine?

ser bogart, yun lang ang piktyurs ko. ang physical location ng powered sub is in the foot well (left side) ng 3rd. Row seat.... kung mahahabaan ko pa yung RCA cable, i could locate it at the rear most side if i need to use the 3rd. row seats....

so imagine mo na lang. yung lahat ng Cables or Wires for Power/GND/Remote/RCA (fm. Line-out) all go thru the Driver side bottom beneath the carpet.....

U at least need to remove the ff.
** Front door scuff trim (pull to the middle before pulling up).
** Rear door scuff trim
** Center lower Pillar trim (need to remove seatbelt bolt).
** Cowl side trim
** driver seat (just 4bolts; use 14mm socket wrench w/ Extender)

then padaanin mo ngayon sa carpet (driver feet area) then sungkitin mo na lang dun sa loob kung asan yung kambyo....may isang tao siguro as spotter, so better use a flash light underneath so u'll be able to see it at the other side...... remember, kayang gawin yun w/o removing the carpet....

Sir Parakito, napansin ko na yung mga sirang dual mass ay puro European brands- Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo at mayroon pang Range Rover. It seems na highly reliable yung mga asian car manufacturers compared sa highly-touted western brands. Wala akong nahanap na Mitsubishi, Toyota even Korean brand na nakapost at may sira yung dual mass. Yung clutch maybe maisasama sa pagpalit depende sa wear. Yung Carens na tinukoy ko maayos pa raw yung clutch pero may sira na yung release bearing. If I recall correctly, steel rims siya, so manual transmission.

Eto at di pa rin natatanggap yung part para sa door lock ko. Siguro mga Monday na ito ma pa-follow up dahil sarado sila ng Sunday.

May mga nagpalit na ba ng gulong sa inyo? Mga ilang mileage inabot bago ninyo napalitan? Ang sa akin kasi e 47,000 kms na pero mukhang may ibubuga pa yung original tires ng mga 15-20T kms pa..at sana nga. Siguro itataas ko ng 5mm yung taas ng gulong ko from 60 to 65 kasi masyadong mababa at lagi akong sumasabit sa garahe ng biyenan ko.

So far naman e kino-consider kong "lucky" ako dahil wala pa akong major problems dito sa Carens ko, and I hope wala sana for the next year. Although sana kung meron man e lumabas na bago pa mag-expire ang warranty ko next year. Sana me nabbiling warranty-extension katulad ng sa States..

Hi guys! Add our Carens to those with aircon problems. and again the culprit is the magnetic coil! buti na lang we have this thread kaya medyo may idea ako kung ano possible problem ng mawala lamig ng carens namin.
Nung una sina-suggest pa na hanapan ng leak, meaning baklas dashboard ng Carens. sabi ko madami na may problema nyan before kaya pagtuunan niya ung compressor(magnetic coil).
ayun, dun nga problema. haay, waiting kami for parts replacement.
Our carens is 2yrs9mos old. ODO 29500+.
Mukhang eto ngang aircon ang weakness ng Kia, kasi yung ibang models din daw nagkakaproblema ng ganito according to the service advisor.

hayy, after 2 years & 10 months, my battery went dead this morning. Nag jump start na lang ako para umandar lang.

Any recommendations on what brand/ model? Any special instructions when replacing the battery?
