    Guys, quick question.

Can a WD-40 or grease remove the squeaking sound of my truck in the leafspring temporarily? If so, where should I apply it?

I noticed that there is a squeaking sound underneath the bed and my suspect is the leafspring. I tried stepping on my step board and jumped and I heard it squeaking. I know I can't totally remove that sound especially now that it's always raining but maybe a quick remedy would work.

I could only hear it at slow speeds, though. Not a biggie. Thanks!

*8800621: How I wish I could become mechanically gifted as you are and like the other tsikoteers who know lots of things in the engine.hehe I want to put lots of things in the engine, like that devil injection and those BOVs just to name a few, but I am hesitant since I don't have any idea what are those since all I know is to pay if something happens to my car.haha! Oh well, good thing there is a site like this.hehe

*8800621: I have been back reading on what modifications can I put in my car, especially in the engine and I'm like... "I really, really need to find a good mechanic."hehe Sir, if I put those BOVs in my 08 Dmax, how many horses do you think it would add?

hi guys, just want to know your opinion on this,
Im thinking of getting a second hand Dmax and ive seen several 05 models selling from 650 to 700 k. What's a good price for one with less than 30k mileage and bed liners?

Also, what's the fuel consumption of Dmax pickups? Thanks a lot!

That krrrrgggg sound also happens in my 08 max. I always notice it when i had long stops then when i reach 35kph thats when i can here it. It's just about 2 seconds then disappears. Sometimes it doesn't come out. I already reported this to an isuzu mechanic and they said they haven't heard of this problem before. i had their test drive mechanic drive my max and the problem never came out at all... So he was not able to hear of feel the krrrrgggg on my max. Oh well maybe i myself can find it out.

kuya nasa post 4016 po... ^_^ its expensive po kasi kapag stainless...

150 pesos steel pipe from local muffler shop... 200 pesos bending... 65 pesos roof insulator per meter... wrap it nalang po sa steel pipe to lessen the heat absorption...

btw, dont forget po to tell the mufler shop to clean it 5 times the inside of the pipe after welding and bending para di po masira ang engine... personally inspect the pipe to have peace of mind... peace po... ^_^

*8800621: Wow, I love the sound! vrrroommmmm ssssshhhhhhhhh.hehe

*kikoy: Hopefully sir, you could find the cause of that since I didn't have any luck. I haven't heard that for almost a week already. Before, that always occurred every time I use my truck but it only happens once in a day meaning that if it happens once, that's it for the day. I told that to the SA but my problem is I don't have any idea when and how to make it sound. So that problem, if it's even a problem, was never resolved. Like what I have posted previously wherein I traveled for more than 900 kms but that sound didn't come up but when I was parking my car from work, I heard that sound again. I don't know what's making it sound but luckily I haven't heard it for quite sometime. I also noticed it at low speeds, around 20 to 30ish, mostly coming from humps or moving from a stand still position. To date, my odometer reading is just above 2400 kms.

*chance30: Mine is 08 Dmax and I get a 13+kms/liter reading. Since I use it often in the city, I normally drive between 60 to 80 only and at times 100. The last time I went out of town, the total distance that I have traveled was approximately 914 to 920 kms and I got it with 1 full tank with speeds up to 100 and sometimes 120.
