This is how I did mine:

Eto bottom part ng lock mechanism ng Altera console

To make mine like that, I used a trusty soldering iron and blade cutter.

First step is to properly mark where ko siya bubutasan

Then I use my soldering iron to burn a hole through the thick plastic (alam kong hindi kaya ng cutter ito)...pede rin siguro ang dremel kaso wala ako nun

    After burning the hole/s

    Cleaning the hole with cutter

yep that's correct. mark the filter with a pen or a scotch tape. and after they had serviced ur truck, look if they really did change the filter. also observe for the correct oil level. i had an experience wherein I was surprised to actualy see that my oil level is 1 inch above the max level (dipstick) during my 5000 km. and i just noticed it after 500 kms of running. I immediately again did a change oil using an original filter and CASTROL oil, pero sa petron ko na lang pinaservice.

kahit mono-grade muna gamitin mong engine oil (ex. SAE 40). mas maganda kasi ang break-in period if mdyo malapot na langis ang gagamitin mo. sa 5000 kms ka na gumamit ng multi-grade (usually 15W-40).

2dmax, i have to dis agree with you on that one... the engine was designed to run on the specified oil by the company, and not by a monograde kind of oil.. yup its its nice naka mura ka but not dat way.. baka meron pa mangyari sa engine mo kc ur oil cant cope up with the engine... diesel engine b4 runs on monograde but meron narin technological advancement thatw as put into ur engine.. so much better not to change the comanys spec sa oil... pwede 20w50 na oil, huwag lang monograde... im using petron trekker sa dmax namin.. and so far magnda naman ang performance niya... and dats what we have been using sa mga pina serviice namin dito na mga dmax, crosswind, alterra... and i think mura ang petron kesa caltex and shell but with the same performance naman... mind this thought guys.. "WE CAN AFFORD BUYING OUR RIDES,WE COULD ALSO AFFORD TO SPEND FOR ITS MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE"... just follow the specs sa company and tatagal ride niyo and it would serve you well through the years... dats waht i did sa cars namin b4 we had our dealership and service center.. our rides served us well through the years kahit lampas 5 years na siya...

The only difference between SAE40 (monograde) and SAE 15W-40 (multi-grade) is that 15W-40 can operate to a much lower temperature (ex baguio temperature). But both can operate at the same higher temperture. Basically, monograde has higher operating temperature even though both have 40 grade oil, because monograde oil is a little more thicker than multigrade oil.

Also, casa service offers monograde oil (IGNO CD40).

As per our handbook manual, we can refer to viscocity rating table chart for proper viscocity selection as long as API service specification is satisfied..
