Again, does the engine turn (redondo) when you start it? Yup, just like what dongmbb mentioned, DI lahat ISUZU vehicles --- ergo, you need not have to wait for the GP indicator to light up --- coz it won't.

Sorry wala po glow plugs ang 4ja-1 kaya wala rin heater indicator. Visual check muna baka may mga loose wirings sa electricals.

I would be pleased to elaborate.

However this is a subject with many twists and turns and is too complicated for a quick answer to all possibilities.

Let us be specific to you.

What vehicle do you have; year, engine, mileage (odometer)?

What do you wish to achieve? increased fuel mileage or, more acceleration or, more power etc?

You cannot have the all. If you increase one, you will probably decrease the other two.

Tell me more about you and how you drive (high altitudes, sea levels, highway, city etc) and, I will respond.

    OK?

    Ciao!

Hi Uncle Nick - First of, thank you for your time in attending to my queries.

    My xwind details-
    07 Sportivo MT, 4JA1
    ODO is 51K
Im from the lowlands, Tarlac City, high way and City driving, just an average driver, max speed ranging from 60-80 kph, i shift the gear when the tach hits 2-

Is it possible to increase a little bit of acceleration(just to remove the delay) and increase fuel mileage or I only need to choose one, from the three? If I only have one shot, that would be the mileage.(parang genie may tatlong kahilingan )

    thanks in advance uncle.

My observation is that you are an "average" driver and that is what your ECU is programmed for....no offense to you is meant.

To make any adjustments to the ECU would result in very minimal fuel consumption gains but very noticible performance losses.

My advice, forget the ECU adjustments unless you know a real expert with credentials.

ECU adjustments are better suited to gasoline fed engines in light weight unibody cars.

    You are better advised to look at other factors which are not so costly and easily reversed;

    Increase your tire pressures.

Lose weight i.e. heavy tools or other items.

Remove your roof rack or other proturbances (if present).

Use your brakes sparingly i.e. slow down to a gradual stop.

    Accelerate slowly.

I know, I know, you have heard this before, but they do work to increase fuel mileage, really.

Long term, get a D-max or Alterra as soon as you can to get both better fuel mileage and acceleration at the same time.

    Ciao!

    Uncle Nick.
