    Good day sa mga masters.
    I'm new to this forum...
    Can anyone help me on what type of oil to use on the transmission of my 1997 Trooper 3.1D local with manual transmission.
    I've ask the tech support of Isuzu and hey say to use an oil with 140W viscosity, is this the correct one?

    hello po, bago lng po ako, nka bili kc ako ng 02 trooper 4jx1 hndi p skyroof, kinakbhan ako bka mgng sakit ng ulo marami kc ako naririnig, pna diagnose ko s casa ok naman dw. trany ok injector gumagana lahat. sabi s casa alaga dw nila un bago ko pa mbili napalitan n dw ng injector. As of nw wala p naman prob. Jst n case masira injector may nbibili b s labas or meron pedeng ibang gawin? sakit b s ulo ung ganitng mdl?

    May nabibili naman outside sa casa, but it has to be programmed by a tech2 sa ECU. Personally gusto ko power ng X1 but maintenance is out of my budget, more so the injector, RPS, RPSV etc. Wag ka lang malasin.

    good day sirs. newbie in this forum. tnx to sirs nap and 4jgtootsie for the initial tips/clarifications via pm.

    my unit is a bighorn '95 4jg2 engine ex subic i got in sept 2006. i have some concerns:

    1. there are stickers on the engine bay (and in other areas) written in nihonggo. what are the the translations?
    2. i have 265/70r16 tyres. are these the recommended tyre size? do these have effect on my FC? front are 32psi and rear 36psi.
    3. i might have missed it (from reading some threads about bighorn/4jg2) but kindly lead me to the link on how i can get a copy of the manual of my engine? hopefully which will answer 1 and 2, and a lot more in the future.

    new trooper owner rin ako.

    just replaced the timing belt. got the original isuzu belt for 2.5k in pasay. replacement belt cost 900. i also got 2 tensioner bearings and original oil seal for the crank shaft. i spent a total of 5k. labor was 2.5k sa PERCC in balintawak.

    Sir Nap, para sa anong model year ng Carnival itong 110 Amps MANDO Alternator? I tried to buy one for my bighorn. Tinatanong ako ng salesman kung para sa anong model year ng Carnival ito? Please help. Thanks.

    hi guys im new in this site i have a 92 bighorn subic type and im using it over 8 yrs now and this year i got over heat so i overhaul my engine ang all parts are replace and my injector nozzels and injection pump are calibrated but after installing it nagging malakas ang usok nya even thou naka minor ako alomost 2 weeks ko na break in sya but still mausok parin sya can anybody can help me up pls.... and can any one help me to find a manual for my 4jg2 timing belt motor....

    thats my trooper/bighorn

    if its bluish smoke. probably your piston ring have not set wel yet. two weeks is still a short time. it will take 5-10k km to break in the engine. hopefully there will be less smoke by then.

    the first time smoke is color white but know the smoke is color lite black but i did a break-in run to pampangga then back to manila but still have lots of smoke coming out is it possible that my piston ring hnd nalagay ng maayos i mean nung mga slot sa mga ring nagalign?????

    I just called jayson's for a quote for a timing belt for 4JG2-turbo. I was informed that there are 2 kinds - round and flat. Hmmm.... hassle naman if I have to take it apart pa first before buying the part. Any ideas on how to check or what to do?

    nung nagpalit yung barkada ko sa subic trooper nya isang klase lang available namin na timing belt dun. flat sya. same ng 4ja1. although replacement lang tinda namin. so far puro yun naman ang kinukuha samin ng mga bumibile. hth.
    btw, flat sya.

    Sir Mintoy, Did you change the rear crank shaft oil seal too? I heard you have to take the engine apart to get to the rear crank shaft oil seal

    no, i didn't. that would be an entirely new expense.

    How will I know if EFI un engine ko?

    Gustu ko sana bumili ng performance chip eh.. Un pala link regarding chip dead na. any other link?
    So far ok naman ang Big horn ko. sa performace lakas humatak ng makina, matulin din kashit 4gj2 engine. wala naman major na sakit ng ulo except nun magpalit lang ako ng turbo which cost me ~25k.

    Val, you said it yourself, maayos naman tumakbo, di ba? Unless you drive mostly on clear highways, why need to spend for a performance chip? Dagdag gastos pa.

    If you have the extra money for such, best to save for a rainy day. My 2 cents.

    thanks for the advise.. sinunud ko na.. i'm back... me problem na nman ako...huuhuh

    muka me problem na naman turbo ko...

    Hingi po ako ng advise. un bighorn ko pag dinidiinan un gas pedal at nasa peak na meron tumutuniog na mahina at matining na prang yero or prang grinding pag wala na sa peak wala na din ung tunog. anu po kya ito?

    Sabi ng mekaniko ko is yung turbo daw un, papalitan na...if turbo nga ito, anu kaya ang naging cost nito?
