Hi oli... i got the gas version... speaking of the alarm... its an ordinary car alarm... it alarms wen the door is open kung naka armed regardless of duplicate key or not.

Hi wanderer! thanks for the info re alarm. i think di ata activated alarm ko. hindi nag-aalarm eh. but i'll check it out again. nasa casa kasi today for the 1st 1000kms maintenance/change oil. I want to use a better brand engine oil but hyundai dealer wont allow. mavovoid daw yung warranty. they use shell fully synthetic oil. dunno if its ok... any comment on this?

Not bad the mileage considering v6 yung variant mo. thanks for the info. As for HID's well yu really can tell at night time. yung regular halogen is just like any other car yellowish in color. HID kasi specially in stock HID like the top end benz bmw and even in the mazda 3 camry.. they have better lighting the road is white.

hi dinan.. my santa fe crdi (black) was a good choice. i'm satisfied either esp now mahal na ang gas hehehe. but to tell you honestly, at first, mas pref ko talaga ang V6 (gas) bec for just additional 60k, u'll get 2 airbags & dual zone automatc airconditioner... what i dont like was the interior color (V6 =beige. crdi = black) dumihin kasi esp here in the metro. my bestfriend got a V6. fyi, V6 has 4-speed only compared to crdi 5-speed.. but i'm not quite sure of the difference heheh

i think the light is halogen. yellowish. lightbulbs are not covered by the warranty so hyundai gave me a go signal to have the bulbs changed into HID.. will cost +/- 12k ouches.. hehe

pinapalit ko narin yung busina. like that of an expedition. medyo nagsisi lang ako sa tint ko.. super black lahat. full tint pa yung windshield kaya medyo hirap sa gabi. most of the time kasi, i drv alone, mahirap na masilipan ng mga carnappers hehe do i make any sense?

anyways, owning a new santa fe, may it be a V6 or crdi, is always a good choice

we got a silver V6 sta fe (gas) 2 weeks ago and we're very satisfied. I also drive a pajero and i would say that the sta fe has much better handling. ang nakita ko lang na obvious difference is yung 'ceiling'. medyo yumuyuko pa ako ng konti pagpasok. siguro dahil sanay na ako sa pajero na medyo mataas. but i would still say that the sta fe is a great vehicle.

regarding the alarm, yes it's an ordinary alarm lang. take note that it only activates after 30 seconds of arming it. so let's say na i-arm mo na siya and then biglang i-open mo yung door manually with your keys (within 30 seconds), hindi pa siya mag-a-alarm. Kung baga eh meron delay. and it alrams only when any of the doors or hood is opened. hindi siya yung para sa iba na konting alog mo na sa kotse eh alarm agad.

i also get 6-7 km/li on city driving.

check out yung hole sa rear portion where sinasabitan ng car-plate.. i got mine medyo hindi aligned yung butas... luckily, napansin ko at hindi pa nabubutasan.. so i told hyundai dealer to take note of that.. baka kasi di pantay ang pagbutas nila.. that's if they will followthe hole-guide.. just a friendly reminder

Ill be getting the unit next week. went today to finalize the paperworks. problem lang ngayon wifey is thinking twice about the color. black was my original color. but fell inlove with the superior red which is like black, but my wife is thinking of the silver now. anyways good thing lang available yung 3 so still have a few days to decide. Checked the lights and you're right projector lang with halogen but HID's would be perfect. PM mo naman yung HIDs na nakita mo. Getting the crdi too.. well got to live with single airbags eh tinangal na rin nila yung side curtain. well i have the brochure with me funny thing is dapat naka rear spoiler but the units dont have it..

yun sa kapatid ko parang busina ng truck yun pinalit. one time hiniram ko tsikot nya pag bumubusina ako papansin ko napapakunot-noo mga tao sa sidewalk. sakit pala sa tenga yun kinabit ng hinayupak na kapatid ko hehehe. yun sa kanya hyundai getz crdi.

Hindi talaga aligned butas ng plaka ng Korean cars sa atin. Iba butas ng Korean plates. Better to adjust the hole in our plates na lang (I used a power drill and file) than to mess with the car itself.

Btw, the holes are drilled as the vehicle is being manufactured in Korea.

hi dinan! pardon me but i dunno how to compute the mileage consumption heheh palibhasa i don't pay for the fuel kaya i dont really mind heheh teach me naman =) as per the color, black really looks elegant but mahirap i-maintain. mabilis makita ang mga dusts & water marks pag natuyo ang ulan.. wat i mean is, example u went out on a rainy night, the next morning, makikita mo puti yung lower portion the black car. mga dumi from the road. luckily, we have a driver to take care of the cleaning. kung ako lang, i dont really have the time of cleaning the car myself hehe silver & superior red are also a good colors. but still, i pref black hehe

i am planning to buy a car cover nga e.. it's 2700.00 sa ace hardware. biglang umiral ang pagka-kuripot ko heheh mahal pala.. will chk out sa banawe baka may mas mura ;-)

k i'll post the pix of the HID later. i'm still thinking pa if papakabit ako eh.. i dont really like the sense na maraming kinakalikot sa car eh.. but still, ma smaganda pag HID diba?

hi wanderer! they remove yung pinaka-bumper sa harap then tinaggal yung stock na busina and replaced it with a new one na ka-boses ng expedition.. gusto ko sana mas malakas eh but i think parang nde maganda kasi eleganteng elegante santa fe mo but para namang pison yung tunog heheh but i really like malakas esp sa mga jeepney na nakakabanas diba? i got my camry with hella double horn.. super lakas yan. i can see na minumura ako ng mga pasahero sa jeep kapag binubusina ko hahah buti nalang fully tinted windshield ko hahah

yeah they used power direct sa batter with a new relay.. costs me around 2k ouches! hinihingi nga sa akin yung stock eh but i manage to get it back.. baka kasi kailanganin ko in the future.

just a tip: if you r planning to change your car's horn, better make sure na maayos ang pagka-kabit. mine kasi, after a week, naging mono nalang yung sound (FYI, expedition-type horn kasi dalawa yun.. isang low isang high sound.. mixed up) kasi natanggal yung wire nung isa.. so, they need to fix it again.. tinanggal ulit yung bumper ko.. kakainis kasi ayoko yung tanggal ng tanggal eh.. baka kasi lumuwag yung pinaka-butas ng turnilyo.. =)

hi pare! nice busina! hahah ganyan nga gusto ko e.. ang disadvantage lang, di mo pwede businahan kapag may chicks na dumadaan... i think 10x ang lakas ng busina mo from the inside to the outside... pag malakas na sayo sa loob ng car, meaning, 10x super lakas sa labas hahaha

hi guys! i just had my sante fe chnaged oil lang yesterday. as i was talking to the technical people sa hyundai, yung manufacturer's rust proofing pala ng santa fe ay manipis lang.. and they recommended me na ipa-rust proofing ulit sa ziebart <splchk> and will cost me around 14k ouches for a lifetime guarantee rust proofing.. pag kasi daw lumampas ng 6mos old yugn santa fe, iba na ang rate... but on top of the 14k.. you need to have it checked annually with a 560.00 charges only per year.

for those who is yet to buy a santa fe, maybe you can ask you dealer to give the full rust proofing as free nalang heheh bargain with them =)

i got my santa fe with 10k discount only plus free tint and matting.. should i hve knwn the rust proofing earlier, baka humirit ako hehe kakainis! ggrrrrr...

wanderer, wat can you say about the rust proofing stuffs.. na-mention ba ng dealer mo sayo?

yep... tailored floormat talaga for santa fe... hooks with lock and shaped following the flooring contours including the floor of the 3rd row seats. mayron kasing original floormat pero hindi na free and take long to order, so they did us a favor.
