Yun lang di ko alam. hehe dapat yung ang bibilhin eh, kaso di na makahintay kasi tag-ulan na and kailangan ng sasakyan na medyo mataas.

btw, sarap matulog sa loob nito habang tumatakbo :-)

hmmm, i don't think it's underpowered because you'll feel the G-force pag accelerate kahit fully loaded with 8 people though we still don't drive it beyond 80kph (nakalagay kasi sa manual) so not sure kung ano top speed naman. Yung Mileage, di ko alam i-measure.

set your trip meter to 0...then put full tank of gas...then on your next fillup...ask attendant to fill it up full tank again...then get your total km reading at that time, then divide it by the # of liters you filled it up with...that should give u the km/liter.

any other comments you may have on the sta fe? any problems so far? am still contemplating on sta fe or the fortuner eh....

You need to check again with the Korean brands they have already caught up to the Japanese. See the following articles.

Hyundai, Toyota, Honda leads non-luxury brands

Kia Rio ranked #1 in sub-compact

    Hyundai

Korean brands out pace US domestics and Euros.

EDIT: This thread shows that Toyota isn't what it used to be.

IMO, magiimrove din resale value ng hyundai with what they are showing. or else wag mong ibenta, atleast satisfied ka sa oto, kesa sa iba na kelangan mo pang pumila at tatagtagin ka naman pala.

ot.....the real value for your money, IMO, is the comfort and luxury while driving your car even on a long trip, without the feeling that you were shaken or beaten. one of the best......really best ride to me...considering 6mos preggy misis ko at walang reklamo sa comfort ride ni FE. better than my 8th gen civic....and lot better than the shaky fortuner plus the other "features" na wala and fortuner, all for 1.52M at FYI im getting 10-12km/l mixed, 12-15 highway for deisel..... ano pa hihilingin mo?

sabihin mong pedeng pagtiyagaan tagtag ng fortuner pero you will be driving this car for years...di biro yon!

resale value? maaring talo nga, pero ganoon din ang bagsak kung susumahin mo naman matitipid mo sa gaso...deisel pala!

imo, hindi talo sa resale value ang sta fe compared to the fortuner, alam nyo kung bakit ko nasabi iyon? kasi the fortuner actually cost you a lot more on your initial purchase considering it has less features than the sta fe. so technically, the advantage of the fortuner in terms of resale value was actually paid for by the owner as premium during original purchase.

anyway, as my signature shows, my dream SUV is the mazda CX-9 but i'm starting to have second thoughts and am starting to lean towards the 3.3L V6 sta. fe limited.. just imagine, you get the top of the line fully loaded sta. fe at least $4,000 cheaper than the base model CX-9. moreso, i really just can't ignore the very good reviews i see, read & hear wherever i turn..

edit: sayang nga lang at alang crdi dito at iyon sana mas gusto ko, kaya lang mga three (3) long years pa daw before makapasok dito

oh gad v6. baka 5km/liter lang yan. less than 8km/liter lang crdi ko, all city driving.

just checked before I parked last night , the gauge meter points to the last 1/4. and I have travelled 450+km only.

The Santa Fe may not currently have Japanese resale value but it is VALUE FOR MONEY (those are two different things).

It has a self levelling rear suspension, disappearing third row, dual a/c, ABS, SRS, leather, dual zone climate control, 4 wheel disc brakes, etc.

IMHO, Php1.8M for a cute ute (RAV4) is what's not worth the money. You don't even get much car for so much money. Sure, it's got a designer interior and fresh face but it is somewhat lacking in substance.

Btw, I'm not into buy and sell, resale value is next to meaningless. 10 years is just the beginning of life for our vehicles.

    very true sir *otep.

even right now, there's no such thing as resale value. sa dami ng 2nd hand cars sa market ngaun, hanggang ideal lang naman yan price ng mga top car manufacturers. for example, average resale value ng Honda esi eh 180k. pero sigurado nag-close din naman yan sa 150k or 160k or even below under the table. even the recent Toyota Altis mataas lang sa print pero negotiable yan.

2nd hand buyers are wiser nowadays. they compare kung mas gagastos ka pa ba sa pagpaparepair at pagpapaayos at pagmaintain ng 2nd hand car or bumili na lang ng bago and take advantage of 3 years warranty or even some addl perks like free km check up/change oil.

sakit ng ulo, abala sa pagpapagawa, counted na yan ngaun sa investment sa 2nd hand car. bakit ka kukuha ng toyota altis/rav4 nga ng sikat pero sakit naman sa ulo sa dami pagawain. malaki epekto nito sa opportunity mo to earn money in a more productive way. instead of nasa banawe ka tuwing hapon looking for hard to find spare parts, makipag-meeting ka na lang si kliente mo.

dun nga sa tpc ba yun na forum. mayroon mga Us-based tpcer's na hinayang na hinayang sa mga tinatapon ng kano na mga laptops. natanggal lang hinge ng lcd, tapon kagad. nasira hdd tapon kagad. yun mga pinoy naman namumulot ng basura ng may basura. in the end, yun apartment nila filled with computer spare parts naging junk shop. akala nila maging ahead sila in life by fixing those defective things. instead lalo lang sila naging unproductive, while the Americans who threw those junks still continue to live a fast-paced life. and still ahead of them pinoy scavengers.

chuaa - as for the ride.. super happy. took the car out already for a long drive and its rides like a car. noticed though when we got the car tire pressure was 40+ had to bring it down to 32. Crossover talaga parang comparable to my camry. well camry pa rin kasi auto yun. But very happy and comfortable. As for the power, very good. Hit 130 quite fast just had to slow down bec was with kids.. Braking is strong. As for the consumption have not calculated so far. filled it up from empty used it a few days in manila went to batangas and back so far half tank at 330 km.. well, will be doing the top off to be more accurate.

Oh i got pala the 4x2 2.2 crdi.

Here is my new ride... This is the superior red.. I'd rather call it blood red hehe. sometimes looks more like brown at night parang black na. different from the website. The red they show in europe is really more red than the one that came out here.
