Santa Fe in Toronto Canada
Santa Fe and Chevrolet Traverse (wala sa Pilipinas, Chevy's large size crossover)
fellow owners of santa fe ... can you confirm if there are also some issue on the CRDI as with the D4D woes? I've read a lot of forums and found no issues on the Santa Fe but then again, I might be wrong ... I compared Fortuner kc and Santa Fe before buying my Santa Fe and I conclude na its really a good decision buying the car ...
Not that I heard of. Wala pa naman club members that had engine problems or any major problems like transmission, suspension, brakes (mostly mga minor lang thank God!).
salamat sir tidus .. I guess I should keep this ride for a long time para ma out yung disadvantage na low resale value ... anyway talagang panalo santa fe ... true na ganda ng ride and hatak ... I tried to test drive the 4x2 fortuner and I guess kulang sa power and sobra tigas ng ride ... I think after a year or 2 eh kelangan na magpalit ng engine if the 4x2 Fortuner will be use for off roading
to all SF owners,
i would like to ask kunf meron kayo problem sa engine gaya ng injectors, ? and how about yun transmission, meron din ba nag ka poblema? sa mga brakes meron din ba?
i need your advice please. mas ok ba yun 4x4 na SF. ? meron na kme 3.2 strada, sa engine wala naman poblema kaso yun reveolution niya parang late siya bumaba pag binitiwan mo yun accelerator, pero ok naman mabilis naman , it can run 190km/hr.
thanks
I have never heard personally in forums both local and international as well as club members that had problems with their engines, transmission, and brakes. Most problems are minor like the headlights create moisture on a cold or rainy day. Some people had their airbag sensors go bust thus the airbag lamp is always on, others have wiring problems where you step on the foot brake and the lights on the dashboard do not light up. But then again the SF has been released in 2006 so mga 3 years pa lang sya so no one can really tell 5 years from now, 10 years from now if those major parts would still be ok. But then again so with the other brands like Toyota and Mitsubishi.
Depende sa use brother. SF shines in the city handily beating the ladder frame Montero Sport. Now if you have off roading plans, then you're better of with the MS. I have personally tried doing 160kph on the SF I have seen in the Internet people even doing 210kph so sa top speed ayos naman, ayos din acceleration. One thing I appreciate about the SF vs the other bigger engined counterparts from Mitsu and Toyota are cheaper maintenance. Bigger engines just means more oil (SF's 6 liters vs MS 3.2's 9 liters) and more expensive parts when come replacement time.
My 9 months old 4x4 SF does not have any problem with transmission kahit na A/T pa not even 1 complaint about the engine. SF brakes uses 4 wheel disk. The engine is very responsive at wala akong na experience na delay
thanks
May Hyundai dealers naman at hindi naman sya grey market so parts are easily available.
Sa Hyundai marami sa Seiring Corp. Its along Araneta Avenue malapit na SM Sta. Mesa.
Hi there! I just want to know the FC of the 2.2L 2wd and the 2.2L 4wd variants?
Is there any difference in FC of 2wd compared to 4wd?
Thanks!
I have the FWD. It gets around 8.5km/L Makati bumper to bumper traffic. Yung nag fun run ang Santa Fe club I got a nice 13.6km/L kasi dumaan kami sa portion ng SLEX na walang traffic cruising at 140km/h.
Normally the FWD will be more fuel efficient that the 4WD.
