    I'll be using my parent's santa fe soon.. and I would like to ask if there is a shock sensor yung alarm ng santa fe.. or do I need to have it uprgrade? Sorry guys kung na discuss na eto.. medyo tamad mag back read.. hehehehe

    btw, pwede ba mag order ng remote sa HARI?

    No the stock Santa Fe alarm has NO SHOCK SENSOR. So if someone breaks the glass and steals the items inside without opening the door then the alarm won't sound. If its a concern to you then yeah you can upgrade it.

    Where can I upgrade the alarm module? sa winterphine ba? My carnival had upgrade module from them.

    Not so sure since personally I wasn't interested in upgrading my alarm given I park in secure places. You can check our club website (http://www.santafeclubph.com/forums/) maybe some people there can help you. Alam ko lang they have their alarms upgraded at MASPRO in Banawe. Autopage ata yun...

    hi recently nakabili kami sta fe 4x2 vanila white with 32,xxx mileage. for 1.1m
    medyo matalbog sa luob pero ok naman lakas talaga humatak pag inapakan hehe malakas pa sa altis 1.6 hehe.medyo maingay lang motor makina ganun ba talaga compared sa fortuner daw! lalu pag inapakan ng todo. second nag pa hid kami headlyt at foglamps 6000k lahat pero ang fog lyt di ganu nagagamit gawa ng malulusaw daw. anu pwede gawin? me nabibile bang fog lamps na glass type? salamat

    Hi!

    This is my first post to this forum. Just took home a Santa Fe 4x4 from Shaw this evening.

    I find this forum very useful. I've taken our fellow members' post on upgrading the alarm system so I've asked dealer to upgrade the alarm system before release of the unit. It now has an alarm with shock sensor (additional 7K). Thing is, it has another control. But we should be able to live with it, i guess we will just have to leave the pre-installed control. If anybody has an opinion on this, please let me know

    Another thing, i've read a post about moisture in the headlights. When we took the unit out of the casa this evening, it was drizzling a bit. When we arrived home, we stared at the Php1.8M beauty and we were disappointed to see moisture on the headlights Well I guess we just have to bring it back to casa.

    Other items that needs to be resolved: the TV's touchscreen function and TV tuner isn't working, rain visor badly installed and alarm system doesn't sound. The rear spoiler isn't installed yet (to follow daw as it is being painted).

    Geez. Yeah, it's quite a bit. Hopefully all fans out well when we bring it back to casa.

    Also, how's your experience with Standard's comprehensive insurance?

    Last question - how do we join the Santa Fe club?

    hi to all santa fe generation 2 ownwers (particularly 2006 models),

    I am new in this thread. I use to visit kia carens and toyota innova thread. Since I am planning to sell my toyota and eyeing a 2006 santa fe crdi , I would like to ask some of your inputs of what to watch out for.

    Have you encountered any problems, minor or major, in your santa fe? I am very interested with the city driving fuel consumption. Hopefully matipid sana sa crudo kasi my toyota is really matipid (10 km/li).

    I am planning to buy in a buy and sell dealership, 31,000 km na ang odometer reading, is it possible na magalaw o madaya ang odometer reading ng santa fe? and is it normal na medyo may ingay sa engine at that odometer reading, though not as loud as the diesel clatter sound of isuzu or innova.
    Is it true that the santa fe crdi engine and the kia carens engine carry the same design except for the displacement and intercooler? I love the torque ang fuel efficiency of the carens. Malakas ba humatak ang santa fe?
