Thanks! Kapag pwede ako sige punta ako sa mga EB ninyo.
Tanong lang cause I didn't notice it and the manual say its an optional installed accessory. But do our local Santa Fe have immobilizers built in?
I haven't really used it a lot since wala pang plaka just a precaution from the alligators of the MMDA. But for my minimal experience with the car so far its smooth, the steering wheel is really light, the engine is very eager and for sure the ride quality is better than a Fort that I can bet a lot on. This Sunday I might give it more time just to exercise the car while I wait for the plates.
Doc, kamusta nga pala ang alarm system na nilagay mo? Ok naman ba? Wala namang drawbacks or bad experiences with it?
OT: I was at the AMMO show today! Daming tao! Am thinking of getting a new baby! (hehehehe) A 9mm S&W or HK... Pinakilala pa nga ako sa representative ng S&W kanina ng owner ng Twin Pines! Astig with matching picture picture pa! (hehehe)
Text mo ako pag pupunta ka ha kase punta ulit ako ng Saturday! Baka nga pati Sunday eh! See you soon and take care!
wag ka masyado ma-rely sa manual. just ask the CASA where you bought the unit, pag nawala mo ang susi mo (the key itself not the remote) malaki babayaran mo kasi daw ireprogram pa or something. that's how I knew na may immobilizer ang SF.
or better yet visit www.motioncars.com look for Santa Fe specs. it's been posted since 2k6.

keyless entry with alarm and immobilizer

Drove the Santa Fe today again along with my parents for a trip to the mall. Some of the observations I felt are the gas pedal is really soft. I mean soft. If you have a heavy foot you might accelerate faster than you might want. The auto tranny is very smooth during shifting and you could hardly notice it shifted, very similar to the Civic in this regard really really smooth. The engine has a LOT OF POWER at 2000 RPM you are already running at a very reasonable speed and in such a low RPM you could already feel the fountain of torque. The steering wheel is super soft, really soft, sedan like soft. The ride is very comparable to a mid size sedan like the Camry and for an SUV thats very good. What I don't like though is the side mirror. I don't know if its with my unit or its throughout the Santa Fe lineup but the side mirror refelcts the cars behind and magnifies them which I don't like so they look very much closer than they really are and it seems the side mirror has some kind of tint its darker than normal.
yup the SF drives like a car but with diesel engine. the very reason why i wont even bother looking at Fortuners or Fieldmasters or Patrols or any relatively new crdi car with pickup-like frame.
but the Captiva is an exception. this is one CRDi suv that I look forward to drive.
regarding the side mirror, try to adjust it away from the bulky body of the rear.
sanayan lang talaga yung side mirror ng SF mine I have it adjusted para its at the edge of the body so I see more of the road. you also have to be very careful because the mirror is not wide angle malaki ang blind spot (sometimes nagugulat na lang ako may sasakyan na sa tabi ko).
wide angle yung nasa left, yung nasa right, im not so sure pero parang hindi ata.
