Hi Sir Tidus, I'll check that one as soon as my unit arrive. Kung wala, then DIY ko, paint ko ng yellow
Hopefully on Sunday as per schedule of arrival in Iloilo, become more excited though

    a sad but happy story...

last week while on our way home a drunk idiot decided it was cool to pick up a big piece of stone and throw it at our 2007 starex grx. basag ang rear windshield, buti na lang hindi nasaktan mga anak ko. anyway, after sending the idiot to jail (for 2 nights lang, naawa si misis ) we brought the starex to hyundai balintawak for repairs. umabot ng 47K ang estimate ng repairs (windshield and rear spoiler). buti na lang may insurance.

anyway while we were there wifey decided to do something i had been hoping for. she sat in the driver's seat of the santa fe on display! then she said, since the lancer is in fellow tsikoteer Jason Kipper's shop (AAMotorworks along congressional avenue in QC) for repainting, then we could get a better trade-in value for it. would it be enough to get the santa fe, even if we have to put in some cash? ayun narinig ng agent, sagot agad na "yes ma'am!" so after getting the lancer mx with its paint work so impecably done by fellow tsikoteer Kipper we went direct to hyundai balintawak last wednesday. some price haggling later and a night wrenching anticipating wait we brought home our new 4wd hyundai santa fe in superior red last saturday. went to manaoag last sunday. sarap i-drive! i did not go over the break-in 3/4 max speed though so hangang 135kph lang takbo namin. sabi ni misis dun sa mga umovertake sa amin sa sctex, "lagot kayo pag na-break-in na to!"

btw, wifey shed tears while saying good bye to her fauithful lancer mx. but then forgot all about it when she got behind the driver's seat of the santa fe hahahaha!

p.s., pareng Kipper, thanks ulit sa napaka-gandang paint work ng lancer. though we only enjoyed the new paint job for 2 days it was really worth it. so for those who are looking to have their rides repainted, pm nyo na si Kipper!

Mga Sir, tanung lang po. Meron bang chance para malaman kung anung year release ang unit mo? As per Strada Club, yung last digit daw ng chassis number represent the year release. Ganito rin ba sa SF?

    Maraming salamat poh!

Gud pm Guys, querry lang, pag sinabi mo bang Km/Liter, for every Kilometer your car consumes 1 liter also? how do i compute for the cash im spending on my car? Di ba, the tank is 75L, i use up that 75 L in 14 days, 75 divided by 14 is 5.35L/day. So what i did was multiply, 5.35 L/day with amount of diesel in the market w/c is roughly around 35 petot, and i came out with 187 pesos per day? Is this the correct way to find out the amount of cash used for fuel?

Doc try ko po explain, hopefully mag post din ibang SF owners.
Lets say nag fill up ka full tank, reset mo trip meter mo. After a day or two, mag pa full tank ka ulit, then calculate mo how many liters add mo (say 10 liters). Subtract mo ang total km run mo in the trip meter (say 150km) sa liter na add mo after mo mag full tank ulit. Ex. 150km/10liters = 15km/liter FC mo.

Paki correct lang kung mali po ako

matagal na namin tinitignan yung santa fe every time we go sa hyundai balintawak to have the starex serviced. actually natignan na din namin yung everest saka yung montero sport and we have decided na talaga na santa fe ang kukunin namin. BUT the plan was to make the purchase late 2009 at saka wala nga kami balak i-dispose yung lancer kaya nga namin pina-repaint e, wala sa plan ang trade-in ng lancer. si misis lang kasi dati iniikutan lang nya at open-close ng doors yung SF na naka-display, di siya umuupo dun sa driver's seat. alam ko pag umupo yun sa driver's seat di na yun makakapigil hehehehe!

Yep that is also how I computed mine... Expect around 8km/L give or take on heavy traffic conditions.... That is what I got on mine.

km/L, distance traveled in kilometers per Liter

it's not your car consumes a liter for every kilometer. in a way, your computation for the consumption per day is correct. if you want to know the gas mileage of your car please follow the other poster's suggestion.

if you consume 5.35 liters a day, then you're distance traveled per day is around 50 to 60 kilometers.

    At last!

My new Santa FE 4x4 Black CRDi finally arrived!

After almost a year of lurking and reading reviews between MS and SF, we are conviced to acquire our first non Japanese car brand.

This is my first ever brand new car, I know "Faye" will never let me down

More photos coming up, puno pa ng wax courtesy of Marlyn of E Rod
To all who help me decide, Thanks a lot! you know who you are

Sir! Congratulations on your new ride! Teka nasan na yung 4WD chrome tag near the side of the hood? Or tinangal na ba nila yan for the new Santa Fe.

    Thanks Sir Tidus!

That is also my question, I ask my wife to look for any emblem of 4WD. Baka inalis during shipment or, baka naalis na, cost cutting. Ask ko Marlyn later.
Next picture, butt ni "Faye" may 4WD after CRDi.

Sa likod may emblem that reads AWD CRDi or something like that.... Another way to check is of course the 4WD button, syempre 4X2 wala nun! Anyway! Enjoy it I know I did, and I am sure you will. Again CONGRATULATIONS!
