Finally got my AWD CRDi SF yesterday afternoon. Aside from the repeater lamps, I was pleased to find out that the cassette deck has been phased out in this late 2008 model vehicle. Wooottt!

Work, however, has prevented me from checking every nook and cranny of this yet to be named SF.

I'll definitely find time this weekend. Hehehe.

Fe... Lalu na pagdating sa fuel efficiency and riding comfort...

Is the 4X2 CRDi version still at P1,528,000 since yun yung price nakalagay sa price list. I can't seem to access Hyundai's local website.

Also do you know any sales agent that might give a good deal like 1 year free insurance and free LTO registration?

Good Day Sir Tidus! You can contact Sir Lui dito sa Tsikot kase he works for Hyundai Abad Santos. Or you can also contact my friend na si Ms. Marlyn Del Castillo, Sales Manager of Hyundai E. Rod at 413-1848 if you are from the north. Sa kanila rin kase yung Hyundai Macapagal kaya either or the two you can still contact her. You can also ask her to give you a test drive of the SF! Or if you want, I can have you test drive my SF.

Hope to be of help...Take care and drive safely!

ser "caraddict24", are u comparing your CX9 to the Sta Fe or the VeraCruz? sounds to me like the price ur comparing to Sta.Fe, but for the interior ur comparing it with the VeraCruz....because with my own eyes i can't see why your CX9 is talbog to the SF??? can u care to elaborate?

with regards to Veracruz naman, if u really enjoy driving and don't care much about FC. the CX9 should be much better. many US reviews of the Veracruz says its dynamics are below part to that of Mazda's CX9, Lexus, etc. its too wallowy and doesn't have good high-speed stability. and with regards to FC, since u were able to afford the ride i guess its not an issue.....esp. now that gasoline prices have gone down so much in the current month....(no in small part thanks to US economic slowdown)...

Kamusta naman yung maintenance costs of owning a Santa Fe? I am really leaning towards it na talaga given all the research I made. Our target date to buy is mid November latest is December definitely this year.

Maintenance is not a problem... Yung change oil and tune-ups usually start from 3k to 5K depending sa motor oil na pinalalagay mo... Of course maganda ang fully synthetic oil kaya medyo mataas ang price. Pero kung semi-synthetic mas mura ng kaunti...

I am not happy lately sa Fuel Consumption ng SF ko.

April 2008, we drove to Tagudin, Full Load and High Speed Driving (papunta sa Ilocos. Pabalik Manila, average speed na lang). Walang refuel sa entire round trip. My Average FC was 13+kms/Liter.

September 28 and October 19, my family and I drove to Subic via NLEX and SCTEx. This is 95% Expressway driving. Average FC: 10kms/L. My average speed sa entire trip 130kph at 2500RPM.

Lately sa pure City Driving - Manila to Makati (Less than 6km Round Trip), anak ng pating - 5 to 6kms/Liter na lang and marahan na ako mag drive nyan to achieve the best fuel economy. Dati rati nasa 7 to 8 ako on pure city driving din.

Nong nagbyahe kami sa Ilocos, Delco Mineral Oil lang ang gamit ko and that was the FC.

June 2008 was when I had my 10k PMS and don ako nagpalagay ng Motul CRDI Specific Fully Synthetic Oil. What gives kaya?

Lagi ba kayong puno at mabigat pag nag lo-long trips?

I check tire pressure monthly. And ung september and october tire pressure check ko, di naman nagbabago ung 30psi Pressure.

nels76, do you drive on sports mode and observing the 2,000rpm rule?

my FC has been consistent to 8km/liter ever since. all-city. i'm just using regular diesel oil from CASA.

I drive on "D" palagi. And pag nasa D, it shifts naman when rpm reaches 2kRPM. So, I think that this consistently follows the 2k RPM rule.

Yours may be better kasi your daily city drive may be longer than mine.

When I bring my SF to office, tantsa ko nasa 12kms lang to and from office.
I have observed that I have better FC when I drive longer, say, may trips to other parts of the Metro on weekends.

My baseline of my City Drive is the daily travel I make to and from office.
This usually reaches 7 to 8kms/L before. Lately, mga 5 to 6kms/L na lang eh.

By the way it does not say on the brochure I got nor the website, but out of curiosity does the Santa Fe (4X2) have side turn lamps at the side mirrors kinda like the 3rd gen CRV?
