guys need your comments and recommendations...

kanina (saturday oct 16) i went to dasmarinas but rochelle was not there but she left instructions to Monching (Ramon) sa service to handle my concerns.

i showed him the overspray and he agreed that it was indeed magaspang. so he asked me na iwan yung car but i cant on that particular time but we agreed and compromised to that my wife will bring the car on either nov 2 or 3 as i will be on another set of business trip so ok lang na wala muna si SF.
i asked him what are the steps that they will do on the overspray and this is what he told me.

1. lilihain ng pinaka fine yung may overspray
2. buffing yung areas
3. then overcoat

i asked him several times kung i-rubbing nila and he said na no they wont do that unless na gusto ko and i said that i dont want the rubbing thing and just tell me now that if they will do that then i will not leave the car with them and i'll just handle it myself by claying the affected areas. and he assured me several times na hindi nya/nila i rubbing.


ano sa tingin nyo? ok kaya ito to address the overspray issue? papayag ba ko sa steps nila?

opinion ko lang to sir, first thing na gagawin nila jan is irubbing compound nila yan, try nila kung makuha nila na matanggal ung mga oversprays sa topcoat, hopefully di pa masyado nakakapit ung paint sa clearcoat and if this is the case matatanggal po un...

pero pag di nakuha (knock on wood), they have no choice talaga lilihain nila yan ng pinong-pino, 2000 or 1800 na liha ang gagamitin, and then hopefully matanggal nila ung overspray before maubos ung clearcoat, after ma-liha iru-rubbing compound nila ulet yan para ma-polish then wax na po into a shine...

what i suggest is after nila lihain ay ipa-clearcoat nyo ulet sa kanila para meron ulet protection ung paint ninyo

mukhang wala kayong lusot sa rubbing compound jan sir, kasi un talaga ang first step jan para matanggal ang mga minor scratches or oversprays, mas mabuti na sir na i-rubbing nila yan kesa lihain nila

pag niliha kasi nila yan irarubbing din nila yan para mawala ung marka ng pinaglihaan then i wax nila para kumintab

kung di naman sir masyado halata ung oversprays i suggest na pabayaan niyo na lang or better po if dalhin nyo na lang sa mga malalaking detailing shops that uses hi-end chemicals within the metro and ask for their opinion

Pwede naman i-sanding yan. Higher than 2000 grit.

You right that Manila Bay and E Rod are under one owner but the good and trusted mechanics are not the same. We at SFCP recommend E Rod especially if the car is in trouble (mechanics). So far base on the feedback with other member, karamihan naman na solve nila so better try them also

So far ikaw palang ang first owner na nagka problema during first 2-3 months of owning. Baka natapat ka lang sa medyo sumablay sa quality control. I heard nels73 has a problem underneath also but that was after so many long trips na. Under warranty yan so let them fix all trouble at once

May point ka dyan trackers, sometimes it depends on the mechanics. I'll schedule it na lang next week.

Mukhang ako pa lang pala ang naka experience nito. Sna maayos para ma lessen ang worry, this is my first time pa naman to acquire an SUV.
