Kamusta na sir lui? Long time no see ah.

Light colored vehicles are easier to maintain. Lagi syang mukhang malinis. Scratches are less noticeable.
Dark colored ones are hard to maintain..... pero mas may depth pag naka wax. Glossy saka reflective, mas malakas and astig ang dating.
Downside, kitang kita ang mga small scratches and dusts.

But that's the whole point, you need to maintain your car's finish dba.
If it's not a daily commute, then black or dark colored SF is just fine.

    Hello po!

My husband and I are about to get a sta fe. ;)

Anyway, I just want to know what your fuel consumption is on the 4x2 and the 4x4 crdi vgt. Is the sta fe really as perfect as you all experience it to be? Any problems you have encountered so far, major or minor? Kamusta sa baha and lubak, sturdy ba yung suspension, chassis, engine, etc? Ok lang ba iharabas yung auto? Yung hatak niya ok din ba kahit puno yung unit? Ok ba yung ground clearance? Medyo kulang sa airbag di ba? Kamusta yung safety features?

Pasensya na sa mga tanong a. Ayoko kasi na mabulaga kami with any problems, 1.5M is not a small amount of money. Is it really worth it all?

Both me & my husband will be using it, both of us will be paying for it, and both of us will be maintaining it. Even if kukuha na kami, na test drive na namin and all, wala kasi akong alam about the sta fe as an end user (yet), so I really need to hear from you na new & old owners na. It will really help na mapanatag ang loob ko. Mahirap nang magkasisihan ang mag-asawa, hahaha! ;)

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to SF Forum ma'am...Hindi kayo magsisisi sa SF. Today is my SF's 1st Birthday.

Safe Drive to all SF peeps.

Kung robustness ng suspension, Fort, Everest, and Alterra are better.
Di kasi solid axle ang suspension ni SF sa likod compared to the SUVs I mentioned above.
The rear wheels have the rendency to squat (bukaka) when loaded.

And the SF does not have a ladder frame chassis, of course vehicles with ladder frame chassis is tougher on heavy loads and rough roads.

If you plan to use it on rough roads, you can consider other SUVs. Ung suspension kasi ni SF pang-kotse eh.

Yan ang honest to goodness comment ko jan. I have the 4x2 CRDi by the way.

I received a call from SA. Confirmed defective ung Shock pero pinapa-pull out muna since la pa available na replacement. No advice on when the parts are gonna arrive pa daw.

I discovered that my Shock is leaky not because may nararamdaman ako sa ilalim.
It was because I did some inspection sa ilalim nya yesterday and notice na ung isang shock sa rear is clean from view. nagtataka ako kung bakit sya malinis tingnan when ung isa is muddy na. It looked clean kasi itim na itim ang kulay nya and walang traces ng dirt. So I touched it and found out na oily na pala sya. I suspect na leaky ang shock so I brought it to Casa para matingnan which they confirmed na defective nga daw.

Before i bought my new ride to replace my aging Pajero Fieldmaster, here are my requirements/priorities

    1- diesel engine technology
2- automatic transmission with sports mode
    3- 7 seater
    4- driving comfort/handling
    5- safety features
    6- luxury interiors/exteriors
    7- US/Euro standards

choices then were Innova V,Alterra,Fortuner and the new Pajero(out of budget)

my latest fuel consumption- highway 16kms/li
    city 10 kms/li

    problems:
so far none....... except yung claim ko sa insurance-di pa approve-10 days na...under process

please read this thread from page 1, some car comparisons- for more info

What do you mean by pang harabas? Daily drives? I use mine 6 days a week avearging almost 20kms/day.
Proper maintenance and responsible driving habits is a major factor in a car's reliability and durability. IMO

    On my 2wd crdi * 2,700km odo reading is around 8-9 kms/liter pure city driving * 1,500-2000rpm.

    No car is perfect po.

My SF is relatively new at 3 mos. Only had minor glitches regarding intermetent interior door rattlings (sumpungin, minsan wala naman na very tiny sound) both sa front and rear passenger sides.

Suspension is on the soft side (car chassis, not an offroader), engine response, torque and acceleration is sufficient specially on long straight drives with 4-5 adult passengers. So smooth and quiet, less vibration for a diesel engine.
Again, I wouldn't suggest the SF to be subjected to harsh road conditions. Hindi ko isusulong sa baha as much as possible (kahit anung sasakyan maliban sa pick up based vehicles w/ higher ground clearance). Yes, only passenger airbag for the 4x2 crdi. On 4x4 gas and diesel variants, dual airbags are standard. Safety features? Which ones? Ample braking capability, but I never brake hard.

Pasensya rin po but I have a feeling that you're not too convinced or a bit apprehensive to the SF being it of Korean origin. There are plenty of choices for a 1.5m car. All of those have very satisfied owners who will tell you their rides are worth it, as well as those who are loyal to a particular brand and biased to another.
There are those in recent pages in this thread who are very critical to the longevity of Hyundais in general. If you share their same sentiments, then the SF is not for you. I suggest you read the thread thoroughly, google search sa net, try to get feedbacks on SF owners you know in your neighborhood, from work, from friends or even at random to be fully informed.
In short, research more, and if you're still unconvinced........ like you said, 1.5m is not a small amount.

Tell you my opinion on buying a new car. When I was younger, I didn't really cared what brand we purchased as long as it's new and under warranty. Now that I'm older and maybe wiser (searching, reading the forums in tsikot), I've learned a lot and became more aware and technical. The more you are informed, the more the hesitations. Again, no perfect cars... but there are lemons.
Btw, it would be best if you could add other choices rather than just the SF.
Maybe on your other choices, mas mapapanatag ang loob ninyo.
There is nothing certain in this world.......... but death and taxes.

    Thanks, tiboy.

Sabi sa Hyundai Global kagabi nang kinuka ko na si Fe, mga end of the month daw dating ng shipment of parts from Korea. May mga kasamang shocks daw doon. So most likely, mga April na mapalitan tong Shocks ko. 14 Container Vans daw dadating full of parts. Whoa. Dami non. he he he.

Sana nga meron pa from other Casa kaso la ko time umikot. And when I call them naman, they always say "dalhin daw sa Casa para matingnan".

Kakainis.

    To oilman, nels76, c190, and tiboyx3m,

    Thanks so much for replying!

Sharing your experiences have been a big help to me.

Yes, I know walang perfect car, pero para kasing wala akong masyadong bad feedback na nababasa from this thread about the santa fe e. Either that o naduduling na ko kasi medyo 2 taon na tong thread na to, and medyo mahirap magbasa ng lahat nang yon. Yung sa mga kakilala namin, 4 lang ang kilala naming may santa fe na kabibili lang this year. Statistically, mas ok if I get the opinion of more car owners di ba, kaya nga I joined this forum, so I'm doing my research naman.

Buying a new car is never easy, and I know that all too well. It's not the brand I'm concerned about, or the money. It's what I'm gonna get for my money that I'm particular about. Relatively wala akong alam about what I'm buying e, other than what's on the leaflets and what the SA and 4 other people told me. That's why I'm asking about your experiences.

Again, thanks so much for all your inputs! I'm ok about buying it na.

We'll be getting the unit later. I'll let you know how it works out.

Thanks guys! You'll hear from me again!

Ayos. Sarap i-drive nyan lalo na sa NLEX, Star Tollway, and the SCTEx. Parang nakalutang sa pavement yan. he he he

sa Highway, di mo mapapansin na nasa 140kph ka na pala. kaya I always look at my Speedo kung ano na speed ko especially when driving at NLEX.

Got a 4WD CRDI Black last November. As posted before I originally orders silver one but come Nov sinunggaban ko na yung available colors then.

SILVER : wanted it coz di pansinin ang alikabok and konting ulan. Gives illusion that its slightly bigger

BLACK : Needs TLC but damn when its clean...its one ***xxxyyyy beast!

If you're torn between the two..have you consdired Gun Metal para somewhere in between the two colors you mentioned?
