Under our local driving condition, it is not true that fully synthetic oil change should have 10,000 kms interval. That will kill your engine dead prematurely. You can do that with gasoline engine maybe, but never with diesel engines. You may do that in Europe, but not in the Philippines. At any rate, experts agree that if you want to use Fully Synthetic oil on a diesel engine, you must change the oil filter every 5K, and top off.

Since our Hyundai Fully Synthetic oil is less than P2000 higher than our semis (for 6.5 liters), customers choose to have oil change.
Those are CF rated oils. Manual says that CH-4 engine oils are minimum requirements for CRDI VGT engines.

What kind of Zic are you using?

And yes, it is advisable to always turn on your rear A/C even at its lowest fan speed, and low cool. This will prolong the life of your A/C.

Thanks for your support, and pls give my kind regards to numbah5.
Is ATF SP-4 equivalent to DEXRON IV?

How many litres ba capacity ng ATF ng Grand Starex?

Good catch bro. A lot of shops and casas push the Fully Synthetic/Semi Synthetic piece more than the API rating, which is on the user manual.

What I don't like is they dont allow their customer to bring their own oil, which is way better than their FS/SS Oils.
Especially that Castrol, very bad experience with that, magaspang ang andar, ramdam na ramdam ko nung nag ZIC UP ako, ang layo talaga

Been good with the Delo 400. And just recently the Delvac MX. Mineral oils, but some say they're semi-synthetic. No biggie, coz they're CI-4 and they'll be dumped after 5,000 kms anyway.

Is the Castrol you're using the magnatec? Sobrang pangit nga ng oil na yan pero no choice ako since yun pinipilit ni pitstop. What I do is I just buy it outside para mas mura.

Good day! Just had my stock tire replaced with also same brand hankook RA08 for Php5900 at banawe. The only thing different that i noticed was the original oem hankook is made in korea, but the new pair that i bought is made in CHINA. I hope it does not affect the quality of the tire.

If I remember correctly, parang made in China din naman yung stock Hankook na nakakabit sa GS. I'm also due for tire replacement, baka Kumho ang kunin ko bad experience kasi ako with either Hankook or Nexen.

Its available at sonny ok store and mega motion. Sir ron 2008 din ba model ng GS nyo and is it from pitstop? Mine is from pitstop so i am assuming they got the gs cbu kaya siguro made in korea yung oem nya. The tires are exactly the same except for the made in korea and china part.

Hoping i do not have the same bad experience as with sir ron. My stock tire was ok not sure about this china made tire. We'll see.

just changed both my rear tires from stock nexen to bridgestone dueler 687. Day and night ang difference sa talbog, probably kasi kalbo na yung tires talaga. So happy with the results. Only problem is 99S lang ang loading index ng bridgestone.

    Load Rating index of 99 can handle 1,709 pounds x 4 = 6,836 pounds / 2.2 = 3,107 kgs.

Listed weight of the GS (according to Hyundai Grand Starex | Auto Search Philippines) is 2,204 kgs curb or 2,770 kgs gross. That's about 337 kgs of leeway. Should be ok. How often is it fully laden?

For reference, I've been on tires with load index of 97 (1,609 x 4 = 6,436 / 2.2 = 2,925 kgs). Mas mabili nga lang naupod yung goma, though not sure how much of that is because of the weight and how much is because of the tire's inherent treadwear. Just make sure to abide by the tire pressures indicated on your driver's side door.
