Bro, masagwa ba talaga yung 55 series? I was thinking baka mas ok yun since higher load rating? Sa 50 series kasi smaller yung overall diameter niya compared sa stock. And ride height is lowered a bit.

Ok bro, how about sa ride comfort? Mas ok ba itong sailun tires compared to your tire before na may 97 load rating? And what brand is that previous tire again?

Did not improve or worsen from the Dunlop LM 703. I'm on a cold 45 all around (instead of the 42 and 47 combo from before) for the last 4,000 kms+. Grip is ok naman, but they're a bit bigger than the Dunlops such that mas macho tignan. Baka kaya wala na akong ganang mag -55 series coz mas malaki sila ng konti.

I'm planning to buy a used GS VGT A/T, 2008-2012 model. What are the things to look out for in these year models? What are the differences from each year? Ano common na sira or expected to be replaced for this year models? Difference between the local and grey market? CVx from HVX? For example a 2008 with 40k odo ano dapat icheck ko to make sure I get a good buy. What is the right price range? TIA.

In my limited experience, the current model is more robust than the previous one.... I have not replaced anything major outside of the prescribed PMS, on my end 2009 unit, (except for the front brake pads... )... Basta bro,- malinis lang ang papel at hindi binaha ang unit.....

Kambal na kambal talaga GS natin bro. Ang difference lang is single tone akin. Hindi naman pala malaki masyado yung sailun. 102 load rating niya right? The reason kasi im considering the 55 series para tumaas load rating from the current 97. Looks like ito na next tire for me. By the way, nagpalagay ka ng fender signal light sir? From my knowledge kasi gray market lang meron nyan.

Kambal nga bro. My tires are 235/50r18. 101 yung load rating. I think the 55 series has a higher load rating.

Purchased the fender light from Seiring ata. Can't recall. Installed by my suking bodyshop. Problema nga is since wala silang template nung ala-OEM, medyo hindi sagad doon sa dulo ng panel na yun.

Body kit pa lang nyan over 100k na hehehe. Yung ganyang style pala na mags mukhang malaki tingnan. Yung sa atin pag tiningnan sa malayo mukhang maliit.

^The GS came with all of those external appointments (i.e. kit, stepboard, grille, etc) as part of the 'Royale' package, except for the rims. Yung nilapit sa Alphard look. You're right, with the kits, the van came to close to P2M.

Personally, I'm not a fan of those rims, especially not in our color of van. But yes, they did look bigger which is why he got them.

Here's another design that he tried on.

Mas ok sana ito, personally, and similar sa 6 spoke design nung sa atin. But then, because of the color and the additional spokes, mas maliit tignan.

Biased na ako sa design nung sa atin, bratski. Hehehe! Ok din sana yung TE37 look doon sa wall sa bandang itaas ng hood ng Starex sa pic.

Yup, I'm also not a fan of those "plate" rims hehe. I actually tried a couple of rims before settling for the advantis, problem is most of them protrudes from the body "calesa look" hehehe. And yes sabit lahat sa sliding doors. Limited talaga yung choices ng rims for our GS

Yeah. For our GS, it's a challenge finding 6h x 139 PCD wheels with offsets that are not meant for SUVs. Commonly, for 6h x 139, the offset is +12 or +20, while the wheel width is about 8" and up. That'll definitely stick out.

I tried a Concept One Zeal for size:

20" siya, but I figured, malay mo bumagay. Or at the very least we'd have a benchmark of the size na uubra.

No go. Despite being 20x8 (the Advantis are 18x8), it appeared to have an offset lower than the +35 that the GS needs coz it was sticking out.

Also tried an Advanti 7 spoke 20x8.5. Offset was also wrong. It was probably +25 or something.

Talagang pang 18x8 with about +35 offset lang.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for diverting from the current topic but I need help.

I have a 2008 GS VGT. Just came from Tanay yesterday. The van drove well except when I reached the Ortigas flyover on the way home. The van suddenly became limp like it would not respond to several presses on the gas pedal. Turned the aircon off and tried pressing again with no response from the engine.
Good thing I was already near the hump of the flyover and just free wheeled on the way down with engine still running. When I reached the bottom, everything went back to normal. What could be the problem with my GS? It has logged 41t kms already. Its last PMS was last March 2014 at Hyundai but the fuel filter and air filter I bought and had installed at Goodgear Pasay.
Would appreciate any advise you could give.

^have it checked sa casa, usually filters lang ang culprit. Maybe the fuel filter wasn't bled properly. Nag hard starting ba sa mornings if you don't use the van for quite a while?

i saw the fuel filter being bled when it was installed at goodgear. nadala ko na rin sa bicol and zambales after the filters have been changed and the PMS at hyundai. no hardstarting in the mornings. could be the air filter though but the goodgear guys said that the air filter they gave me is a good one. but you're right the filters are my suspects. makes me think now if my pagtitipid by going to goodgear is all worth it.
    thanks.
