hi mga proud GS owner, i would just like to share to all of you my experience sa akin GS vgt, sobrang bilib ako sa air conditioning system nya, #2 lang ang speed kontento na ako khit loaded t seldom nakasagad yon thermostat normally nasa 10 to 11 0! clock lang sya but lately napansin ko na humina yon lamig, nasa #4 t sagad yon thermostat, bitin pa rn ako sa lamig. after coming home from office yesterday, I thought of replacing the cabin filter and after replacing it, bumalik sa normal yon lamig ng GS ko, kala ko kailangan ko ng ipalinis yon evaporator nya which will cost me more than 3K, but fortunately cabin filter lang pala which i bought at goodgear last year at less than P200/box (a box contains 2 filter).

Madali bumara ang cabin filter ng GS talaga.a little over 10K kms ako nagpapalit ng cabin filter.

^ Took less than a year to clog up my cabin filter. Andumi talaga dito sa atin. Actually di naman nawala yung lamig nung a/c namin, but humina yung buga. Yung #4, parang #3 lang.

Thankfully, everything went back to normal with the filter replaced.

Guys, just as a heads up.

Better get your units comprehensively checked before it's 3 years are up.

Got warranty denied sa VGT solenoid that mysteriously broke the moment we brought the car home from PMS. Hindi na raw kasama sa original warranty and extended warranty (the last 2 yrs).

Mukhang 10k+ yung cost for part alone, mukhang hindi pa kasama labor.

On another topic, I replaced my tires with Westlake but it seems like it won't last 40k kilometers unlike the previous Geolander which lasted for 52k kilometers. But it runs good and cheap at 3.2k/tire compare with other known brands for 5k up per tire.
We replaced the 4 tyres of our company-owned GS, after only about 40KKm mileage.

Kumho for P4,900 a piece from Minerva in WestGate, Alabang....

The original Hankook tyres suddenly went oblong, after a regular PMS from Hyundai Sucat, where we have them rotated.

Put3,- masama talaga ang kutob ko... Hay naku....

In comparison, my dear GS(25KKm) still has very good tyres,- had them rotated a few weeks ago, also at Minerva.

Regarding sa tire na oblong din dati oem tires ng GS , nagpalit ako to Nexen, then went with yokohama geolandar mas ok sya mas matagal, now nexen nakakabit, since mahirap oem size ng GS HVX na 17 series, nagpalit na kami before from 205/65R17 to 235/65 R17.

Sakto lang sa wheel arch, pag bago may konting sabit pag extreme left or right yung front tires then nawawala din eventually

Thinking of going 225/65/17 on my replacement tires.

yung unang 2 sets original, then itong 3rd set is replacement lang.
