It was actually a Saturday going there and a (Pacquiao fight) Sunday coming back, so the streets weren't too bad. If I had the 20s of SG's GS, bengkong yun for sure sa sama ng ibang part ng kalye. But at least these were only for a few hundred meters. Bigla akong nainggit sa sinusundan kong LC80. Walang lubak-lubak!

For me ziebart pag rust proof. Ito lang tingin ko service ng ziebart na maganda hehehe! May sasakyan kmi dati, 8 years na buong buo parin ang pang ilalim at body ng sasakyan. Nabenta na sa kakilala namin yun saksakyan, bali 12 years na ngayon, wala parin kalawang.

Hi guys, have long been a lurker here in tsikot, (especially the Hyundai forum) and I must say, I have learned a lot from reading your thread, especially those based on your personal experiences, this is also the reason why I decided to opt for the gray market in choosing my car I’m expecting my GS CVX Luxury by the end of June from HANCARS! And im really excited!

Based on the thread, I have pick up some of the things I need to do when my GS arrives:
(Thanks to all who contributed these)

1. Change Horn
2. Replace stock fog lamp bulbs to higher watts
3. Upgrade speakers (although this will depend if the stock speakers will be sufficient for me, im not really a sound person, mostly AM stations lang ako when driving hehe. Will also check if it will suffice for watching DVDs)
4. I also like what Starex_Gold suggested re wrapping the backing plate in black vinyl, I think it will look good on a hyper metallic GS.

So far ito pa lang plans ko after getting my GS.

I also have some questions/concerns pala which I hope you can help me with:

1. Type of diesel to use : Unioil Euro-4 diesel / Petron/Shell Diesel / Petron Turbo diesel / Shell Vpower diesel.
I know this have been discussed lengthily on other threads, and so far im leaning towards Unioil’s euro 4 diesel, but im a little skeptic on the quality of Unioil, been always a Petron/Shell patron, (but that’s because all my past vehicles were gas variants, this is the first time im wading in the diesel variant). So what do you think is better suited for GS? Go for the euro 4? Or Petron/shell diesel? Has anyone here tried unioil’s diesel?

2. Rust proofing – I read that KDM units don’t have rust proofing yet, should I schedule it for one as soon as I got it? Or not a priority? I also read na nawawala ung new car scent pag pina rust proof, is this true?

3. Break-in tips? Ano ba proper way to break in ung GS? Any tips, links, will be much appreciated.

4. Plate no. can I use my GS kahit wala pang plate no.? I believe 7 days ung grace period, and also read that coding is based on conduction sticker, since gray units don’t have conduction stickers, will I get into trouble if I use it without a plate no.?

Was going to comment on this as well. I'm not sure how common it is to have an H27 bulb with 55 or higher wattage though.

I've had a 35w 3000K HID installed in lieu of the stock and then super yellow fogs. This has been on the GS since July last year. Definitely better performance. I was a bit concerned though about what SG reported on HIDs burning out the multireflector coating on the fogs. I haven't experienced this yet, thankfully, and some other GS folks on the THP board have not experienced any problems as well. To play safe, I use the fogs sparingly, when the low beams aren't strong enough.

Instead of fogs upgrade, you might want to look into installing Morimoto H1 projectors on your low beam housings. ;)

Hello again. Napansin ko lang habang nagwawax ako ng gs, may mga imperfections sa paint tulad ng small pits and grains of sand (?) like the one shown below:

Ngayon ko lang narealize na mahina pa pala sa quality control ang mga Koreans. Yung Japanese brands wala akong nakitang ganito.
