It's the same as any modern cars today may mga part lang na mas advance ang KDM kesa sa HARI unit.
And I find the PMS schedule of Hancars very ridiculous. Bakit ka magpapalit ng fully synthetic oil every 5,000 kms eh di ba nga they were formulated to last longer than mineral oil?

And also they really like using Castrol 10w40 which is not a recommended viscosity based on the manual.
5w30, 10w30 and 15w40 oils are those written in the manual.

Disclaimer: I'm just frank and honest here guys.

When they 1st restarted to sell KDM Starex again, ok sila kausap. Mabait pa nga eh. Ngayon parang ang sungit and all they think is kung papaano sila kikita. Paano kung ang preference ng prospective client nila is to loan from PNB? Tapos ayaw nila dahil matagal silang bayaran ng PNB. Anong klaseng mindset yan? Tapos sa PMS schedule pa. Why insist on changing the oil every 5,000 kms kahit naka fully synthetic oil?

What is the price range of 2012 up GS VGT A/T model? What do I have to look for? What is the difference of the KDM units and HARI units? Which is better the 2 row passenger seats or 3 rows. Do local models come in leather seats? Ano yung Gold models? Would like to know the difference para alam ko when scouting for used GS. Ano rin pala difference ng 2013 from 2014 units incase I would go for brand new? Your advice would be highly appreciated.

Well, of course. We wouldn't have it any other way here.

Oil selection is a problem for both HARI and gray market dealers. Open the manual and it will say the minimum oil requirement. It's CI-4 for the CRDi if I'm not mistaken. Not sure about the TCi. IMO the viscosity will come next. Fully synthetic or Mineral is next, again IMO, denotes longevity of the quality of the product.

The problem with them is that they're pushing their so called HGMO that's CF rated. Fully Synthetic, yes, but CF rated oil. I is far from F in the English alphabet. I don't know what alphabet they use. If I understand it right, the engine requires CI-4 level oil, whether FS or mineral. They're feeding it lower level CF oil. By making it FS, they're feeding it something that's not up to its requirements, but will last up to 10,000 kms at that level. Is this sabotage so it breaks down quicker and they get service revenue?!

Mga sirs, pwde bang i duplicate susi natin ng ordinary keymaker like Mr. Quickie? May immobilizer ba ang 2009 Starex?

Or dapat sa casa talaga? How much? Uniform ba pricing nila o may suggested casa kayo na cheaper.. TIA!

I think Mr. Quickie should be able to do that. However, you do lose the keyless functionality (if that's on the key itself).

Do you guys have the same setup? If so, what do you recommend doing about that?

Nawala nong mag beach kmi kc yung 1 key. Parang di ka comfortable kung 1 key mo. Mahal pala ng blank key sa casa. Built in remote kc, 5900.

Btw, I called Shukey, cutting service is 800, while sa L. O. M. key Greenhills is 2000.

Any advice na mas cheaper alternative.

BTW, I came up with this article about a "boxing match" between gray and HARI vehicles:

Beating the gray | Motoring, Business Features, The Philippine Star | philstar.com.

this was way back in Feb. 2003. HARI claimed they already defeated the gray car importers but today, there are still have gray importers existed. How did this happened? Hyundai Korea even helped HARI to improve their sales by subsidizing HARI.

Because of the Grand Starex. HARI launched the Grand Starex here that is barebones compared to the Grand Starex of the gray market, then the gray market also offered 5 years warranty for their units. Also, gray market dealers have better aftersales support than HARI nowadays.

Question to GS owners na natapos na yung 3 yr LTO registration.

Nalipat nyo ba sa ibang LTO office yung pagrehistro. Wala bang naging problema in terms of tax, ek ek?

Pasensya na 1st time bibilisa gray market.

Just go with casa.
