Hi, I'm a new owner of 2010 Civic 1.8s at around 60k km.
Just did an oil change last sunday, fully synthetic. Shop also did some check ups and found some problems and things need to be replaced. Cost estimate is high, around 40k for everything. Another shop quoted me around 7k (but not as complete as the first one). To lessen cost, I know some mechanic who can do home service but I need/want to provide parts. The only store I know is Alabang Auto Parts, in front of good year. I'm residing in alabang area too.
Here is the list of parts / repairs I need:
1. Cracked bushings
2. Tie rod, rack end
3. Iridium spark plugs (I want iridium too, ngk, as said in manual)
4. Braked pads and resurface rotor
5. ATF change or flush. The current on seems never been changed nor flushed and it is color brown. Manual says ATF Z1, can I use ATF DW?
6. Cylinder head cap and valve gasket, may leak kasi
7. Cabin filter
8. tail light bulb (yung nasa boot lid)
9. Tail light
I need your help guys.
1. Is my plan ridiculous? (home service repair but buy parts myself-a noobie, as much as possible I want to buy with someone knowledgeable but... ), or just shop so wheel alignment is immediately done
2. How much these things usually cost? Is this all the parts I need? (especially the tie rod / steering parts.
3. Do you other part stores near alabang area, laguna is fine,
4. Do you any reputable shops that I can trust? (plan do build long term relationship, cheesy I know)
Thank you very much.
100k ang palit ng plugs..60k is too early

I see, sabi kasi sa manual "Replace every 3 years or 60k km and check every 1 year or 20k km."
Daang Hari-Commerce Avenue, before 7am and 4-5pm (before rush hours), so around 20km everyday, for 5 days. Costs around 500-600 on gas per week. Shell Vpower. Is it normal or tanggapin ko na na malakas sa ito sa gas? di ko pa macompute fuel economy ko, lagi ko nakakalimuta i reset yung meter hehe.
Wow, thank you sir! Ang dadali puntahan! Ang laking tulong po nito

Wala ako tiwala sa previous owner/s. Parang oil change lang ang ginagawa. Even yung cabin filter, empty nung nag check ako.
off topic: I am new in tsikot (pero matagal na ako nag register)
1. Talaga bang maliit ang message box?
2. Talaga bang di nagana ang edit?
Thanks!
^ best way talaga to know your car's fuel consumption is through the full tank to full tank method. or you can use apps like waze and the like although it works hand-in-hand w/ the full tank method

Looking into FD for light track racing. Okay ba mag k20 manual? How's the parts price and availability compared to the r18 manual? Also malaki ba difference sa power?
My options are :
1. 2006 k20 manual - mahirap mag hanap ng sariwa
2. 2011 r18 manual - easy to find
Thanks!
