Sir where do you buy or source your replacement parts? I need it too for my future pms..... The air filter you posted is it washable same as with cabin filter? I haven't check the air filter yet I thought it was the typical round type that you spray compressed air.

^Air and cabin filter from Clover in Benavidez, Binondo or AZSC (Autophil Zone) Masangkay-they have a warehouse at C3 Caloocan. They also carry other filter brands Fram,Vic but i'm happy with the improved quality of Sakura(Indonesia).

For the spin-on Oil filters, I only use Baldwin from Volmax, Gandara. I haven't horded yet because casa only allow "bring-your own supplies" for the air filters and engine oil, 2more years for the warranty to expire. Just incase, below are the part numbers

    Honda# 15400-RAF-T01, 15400-PLM-A02
    Baldwin# B1402(B1431 - Long Version)
    JS Asakashi# C809J
    Vic C-806
    Union C-414

    Ah 1.2L pala.

Akala ko kasi yung 1.5L earthdreams ang engine. Hehe my bad.

Noted. It is just near Warren also in benavidez this is where I buy Bosch oil filter, fuel filter element, air filter and even brake pads in my other ride. I stop using baldwin because they keep on increasing their price knowing the demand here. I'll check first with Warren if they have available Bosch parts for honda brio amaze if not then I have to buy in Clover. Is your ride brio or amaze too?

So I can bring my own motor oil in honda casa for vehicles still under warranty? I check their synthetic oil around 600+ per liter.... I will look into Zic oil.

Brio Amaze is 1.3L 4cylinder 16valve engine. That is also my consideration compared to Wigo 1.0L and Mirage G4 1.2L they are both just 3cylinder. So more power in the engine.

New Brio bro. I remember back then they were selling last batches of Amaze, it was shortlisted due to my 1st preference of getting a hatchback. I think the i4 was just right for the size, it was available also on the Picanto but ridiculously priced like a subcom sedan. The Almera oth gets an option for i3 and my opinion its undersized for its body. The pains of car shopping eh you have to compare and consider lots of factors..hehe

Call your SA if they will allow bringing your own oil. Most Ayalas are strict on parts/supplies, I bought the unit to them but ended up servicing elsewhere..

Ok pala ang Sakura kung Ganon, might consider it next time.

For Vic, I get the C-809, it's bigger thus more filtering capacity.

I see. I'll check with my SA if they are strict then I'll just let them use mineral oil. The only reason I wanted casa to do pms because of the covered warranty period. I called up Warren and they do have available parts for Brio price wise is a few hundreds higher than Sakura.

Yes I also check with toyota and mitsubisbi. Wigo is my first choice and I ended up with Amaze. Lol.

But Honda oem oil filter is the shorter one? will it not have an effect on the engine using a larger filter?

No impact. We used aftermarket oil fliters on our previous 2009 Jazz 1.3L. I would say that Honda’s L engines is quite robust and can take abuse from owners which are not particular to PMS.

With regards to Honda casas, they will not allow you to bring in your choice of oil and filters. However, Honda’s FS 0w20 oil is quite good.

Yes that is what I saw and if im not mistaken it is around Php2,400 total so Php600/li. I'll still think about it if I will be using that one or just mineral oil. So viscosity 20 or 30 is okay with this L engine how about FC much better with 20?

Honda uses the 0w20 FS oil across all of its gas model lineup, even the bigger engines (R20, K24, J35). No difference in fuel efficiency between 5w30 and 0w20 viscosities in our observation with L13 and L15. The engine warms up faster though with the 0w20.

If you want to use mineral oil, Honda still offers its 10w30 mineral oil in 5k km or 3-month intervals. That is less than 300 per liter.

Do you mean all stock? Yes it is.... the car has not been modified. My only complain are the tires they are michelin and not deestone lol. Thanks for the headsup on the fuel filter I think this better be oem when replacing.

I see. Im just surpised that Honda uses 0w20 viscosity with our hot weather to my mind should be at least viscosity 30. Anyway, thanks for the heads-up.

Well, Honda has been using that 0w20 viscosity for some years now and nobody was complaining. There are much harsher conditions than our climate and such a viscosity was tested properly. It might be hot and humid in our country but there are much hotter places in the US like in the deserts of Arizona, Nevada, and California.

Saw this at fb page. I will be facing the same dilemma when I schedule my pms at the casa. Aside from the obvious oil and oil filter change what should I retain from the list? This is for 2nd pms odo reading 11k.... and is it acceptable to decline some of the items with your SA? as to not have bad impression from the SA.

you can skip the engine flush and fuel treatment altogether.

I am also a bit suspicious of the 1L coolant top up as from experience hondas and toyotas very rarely or at least takes years before a coolant top up is needed.

If you do regular 5000km oil changes your car will run fine either with semi-synthetic or mineral oil as long as they are within spec in the manual.

you can save a lot in costs.

i would decline the engine flush and fuel treatment.
"next time na lang po. wala sa budget, eh."

i will also decline the brakes. even if the price seems competitive.
i have negative experience in casa brakes job.
"sinabing ginawa, kahit hindi naman ginawa."
when i had it done in banawe afterward, because i was advised that the brake pads were getting kinda thin... tanong nga ng mekaniko, "lumusong ba kayo sa baha? kelan ho huling na-linis ito?"
    a fluke?

i add my coolant at home. no need to bother the casa for it.

    good luck.

    and, oh yes.
i use mineral oil and have oil change every 5000 km.
it is my belief that frequent oil change removes more effectively, the metal filings suspended therein.

If you noticed the 1L coolant has no price in it so maybe its free top-up? Yes, this one uses fully synthetic so I can request for mineral oil instead.
