Looks good. Though sadly the mid size sedan here in the philippines is slowly fading away.

I'll be happy to take home the 1.5L Turbo model (192hp/260Nm). However, that 2.0L Turbo model (252hp/370Nm) with 10-speed AT looks to be quick with its peak torque available between 1500 to 4000 rpm.

By the way, no more tranny lever? I see only buttons for the gear selector and paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

and the accords small turbo with cvt cannot beat the camry's dynamic force and direct shift tech fuel consumption wise. infact the camry has better fc than its current gen compact sister the corolla.

    some reviews say:
    unibrow
    steering is subpar
    not so plush suspension

I think depending on the trim level, the new accord will have adaptive suspension system. The unibrow is fine, makes it somehow similar with the honda model lineup looks-wise... but what i don't like is the black hole at the bottom... the grill looks unfinished.

I would gladly trade-in my Fiesta to bring home a new Accord. There is just a good balance of sportiness and elegance with an Accord.

Based on the test conducted by Motortrend, the new Accord with 2.0T paired with 10-speed AT tranny is as quick as the Civic Type R to 60mph and the current gen Accord 3.5L V6. On the good side, fuel efficiency is better with the new 2.0T compared to the old 3.5L V6.

6MT tranny is available in the US for both 1.5T and 2.0T engines. The 6MT tranny on the 2.0T model is shared with the Civic Type R while for the 1.5T, it is the same 6MT as the Civic Si.

One channel dragraced the V6 and the 2T. The 2T came out on top twice. 2T mpg is quite good. Its gonna be hella expensive though 😅

that rear end isnt ***y 🤐

I don't think so. The pricing is about the same as the current 3.5L V6. For the Philippines, it might be around 2.3M.

In the case the new 2.0T becomes available, expect some huge discounts on the 3.5L V6 (500k).

I have a feeling that once the new Accord is made available locally, they will retain the 2.4L NA engine instead of using the 1.5T as the base option.

I don't think so. The K24 was shared with the CRV AWD before. With the K24 option gone from the CRV, Honda might go with the 1.5T as it is the same engine as the one on the Civic RS (but tuned to a higher output).

Keeping the same engines among models make parts and maintenance service easier to manage. Honda uses the same 1.5L NA (L15) engine on the City, Jazz, Mobilio, and BRV. Even the new 1.5L turbo engine is based off the L15.

    Point taken.

Devil's advocate - it'll suck if they use the 2.0L engine from the base gas CRV.

"The Accord is more comfortable, spacious, and luxurious.

Camry is quieter, rides and handles better, and drives more elegantly. It offers superior technology with a more user-friendly interface."

if disected... one is the obvious winner

Now, assuming the new Accord 2.0T gets here next year, how would it hold up against the Passat 2.0T?

I'm drooling over the idea that the new turbo Accord is the best replacement for my Fiesta - more space, more pace.
