One channel dragraced the V6 and the 2T. The 2T came out on top twice. 2T mpg is quite good. Its gonna be hella expensive though 😅

I don't think so. The pricing is about the same as the current 3.5L V6. For the Philippines, it might be around 2.3M.

In the case the new 2.0T becomes available, expect some huge discounts on the 3.5L V6 (500k).

I have a feeling that once the new Accord is made available locally, they will retain the 2.4L NA engine instead of using the 1.5T as the base option.

I don't think so. The K24 was shared with the CRV AWD before. With the K24 option gone from the CRV, Honda might go with the 1.5T as it is the same engine as the one on the Civic RS (but tuned to a higher output).

Keeping the same engines among models make parts and maintenance service easier to manage. Honda uses the same 1.5L NA (L15) engine on the City, Jazz, Mobilio, and BRV. Even the new 1.5L turbo engine is based off the L15.

    Point taken.

Devil's advocate - it'll suck if they use the 2.0L engine from the base gas CRV.

Motortrend's new Accord vs new Camry comparison review

218 Honda Accord 1.5T vs. 218 Toyota Camry 2.5 Comparison

"Holistically, though, there’s no comparison. The Accord is more comfortable, spacious, and luxurious than the Camry. It’s quieter, rides and handles better, and drives more elegantly. It offers superior technology with a more user-friendly interface. Simply put, Toyota built a better Camry, but Honda built a better car."

The longer you look at the 2 cars... the nicer the accord becomes and the same can't be said with the camry's look.
