With this car, there's no excuse for the Koreans to create that perception that crossover diesels are expensive. so maybe right now, Hyundai and Kia think tanks are meeting right now to address this threat. a Honda 1.6 diesel that can carry 7 people and thrifty at the same time sends many mixed messages. I mean for starters I doubt if their marketing strategy of offering bare stripped down models Tucson and Sportage is viable anymore for the next months to come.
The Japanese delivered the first affordable diesel crossover with leathers seats, complete airbags even backup cameras and touch HUs.
cheapest monthly fuel costs.. cheapest diesel vehicle to maintain for 3years?

di pwede hyundai against the above 🤣🤣

If I did my homework right, the 1.6 diesel really started out its life as a 120 hp mill. Sometime in 2015 or 2016, Honda upped the power to 160 hp since they discontinued the 2.2.

Did they change the turbo or is it a matter of more aggressive ECU settings? If it's the latter, then a chip upgrade should give the 120 hp diesel a healthy boost, yeah?

I think you could tune it for another 15-20 hp, but the tiny turbo will be a choke point.

From online pictures, on the 160 ps variant, the turbine and the plumbing are different.

If you do your pms outside dealership. Cheap lang oem parts(OIL, air, fuel aircon filter, brake pads etc) ng hyundai/kia compare to Honda

Sir Niky, about the 3rd row space and comfort, which among the existing PPV's and crossovers with 3rd row (X-Trail, Sta Fe, etc) does it resemble the most?

Yung dalawang yun lang yung parang worth it yung presyo. The rest is either overpriced, or too stripped down.

Tama ba na mas maliit sa length & height ang bago but wider?

    2016 old model 4582 L x 1820 W x 1685mm H
    2017 new model 4571 L x 1855 W x 1657mm H

Sabi kasi ng mga agents mas malaki daw yun ngayon

Better than X-Trail, not as good as Santa Fe.

Ibang class ang Santa Fe. We managed to squeeze three side by side in the third row on a drive, once. The CR-V and X-Trail are narrower cars.

    Sa presyo na ito

    2.0 S CVT (5-seater) = PhP 1.539 million = hello!!! sino bibili nito

    V Diesel 9 AT (7-seater) = PhP 1.569 = mga curious crowd lang magtry......

    S Diesel 9 AT (7-seater) = PhP 1.759 = FJ cruiser territory......

SX Diesel 9 AT AWD (7-seater) = PhP 2.049 = swerte na makabenta tatlo unit sa isang taon.

Magready na honda mag discount 200 to 300thou for these to move.

The Forester and CX-5 start at that price, and they sell.

alam nyo hindi ko ma-gets kumbakit nag-iisip pa kayo kung sulit yan CRV na yan

way back 2006, when I bought my 2nd Gen 7 seater Santa FE, the first quality diesel crossover in the Philippines, ang SRP noon eh 1.528M, so minus discount na kuripot, 30K, so nakuha ko ng 1.498M

and tignan nyo specs ko: one airbag, no touch hu, no bluetooth, no usb port, no hands-free, no backup sensors nor reverse camera it figures ni hindi nga touchscreen eh), no tft lcd instrument panel, no computer trip meter (parang calculator na luma lang), manual climate control, limited aircon vents sa likod, no usb or outlet chargers and need I add more so advancement ng technology ng engines ngaun nyan Honda na may econ button as well as a 1.6L engine that promises to carry 7 people

ano ba halaga ng 1.5M noon if you compute by inflation dapat 2.2M na yan CRV diesel V na yan. so pag hindi pa kayo bumile ngaun ewan ko na. mangutang na kayo kung kulang pa sa budget, pag napasok excise tax and the government people realizes na puwede nila bakalan yan CRV na coz sulit sulit, baka dun pa kayo magsisi

get na, reserve na and flaunt your new SUV. there's nothing more intimidating than driving a 1.6L car na at par sa mga PPVs na more 2L.

The new CRV makes it more exciting and widen the playing fields to choose among available brands & models for potential car buyers nowadays..

One question: how does it compare with a less popular, yet globally known brand VW GOLF GTS albeit different class but with many similarities in latest technology and diesel engine offerings..?

TOTL for Golf GTS costs p1.4M vs TOTL CRV P2.0+M..difference of more than half a million pesos because CRV is AWD? and of course it sits 2.5 average pinoys on the 3rd row as Sir Niky observes..

    I wonder why..

for the same money as the V i'd get a montero sport gls 4x2 a/t.181 hp, 8 speed. may discount pa na 100k that i can spend for diesel for the next 2 years. at di ko na iisipin kung ok pa ba yung 2 passengers na nasa 3rd row o patay na yung paa from lack of circulation.
