Many manufacturers are cautious about local fuel quality. Some europeans, in particular, have suffered because of it.
Mechanically, what's the difference between the 120 and 160 hp versions of the 1.6 iDTEC?

If I did my homework right, the 1.6 diesel really started out its life as a 120 hp mill. Sometime in 2015 or 2016, Honda upped the power to 160 hp since they discontinued the 2.2.

Did they change the turbo or is it a matter of more aggressive ECU settings? If it's the latter, then a chip upgrade should give the 120 hp diesel a healthy boost, yeah?
