Sad. The 2.0 gas tops out at around 180 kph. I was expecting more since the CVT keeps it in the powerband - but even at redline, it has a hard time climbing up from 180 kph with 5 on board.
Although 180 isn't so bad for a family vehicle of course. Very comfy for out of town drives as usual.

The FC and FB Civic also have the same engines but the FC has a higher top speed (211 vs 202) and it also accelerates to 200 much quicker.
This is because the FC has a CVT vs the 5AT of the FB. I was expecting the same improvement for the new CRV vs the previous 2 generations but it seems like its aerodynamically or electronically limited so the CVT doesn't help much.

I wonder how fast the Civic FB with the R20 engine can go. I think the K20 engine was replaced by the R20 on the Civic FB.
The 8th gen Accord with the K24 (5AT) is good for 220kmh on its speedometer.

Turns out the 2.0S does reach 200. [emoji16]
You just have to modulate the throttle since the engine just drowns out at 6600 rpm if you floor it. I find that there's more pull at around 6000 rpm.

Kaya naman pala eh. hehehehe....
On our way home yesterday, I was cruising continuously between 150-160 kmh on SCTEX from Floridablanca to Clark (5 people on board). It was an easy breezy trip. I am more careful driving at night so no pedal-flooring and no redlines. The only times I flogged my rides at SCTEX at 200kmh or more was done on a morning but with relatively less traffic at SCTEX.
does your new car comes with free floor mat? the one with hole on the corner so you can use the twist button to hold it?
