I wonder if it's worth the wait again for another year? They say another civic redesign is coming at the end of this year? Civic 9.1?

2.0 lang daw yung all new, which is supposedly based din sa 1.8. If I remember correctly, FD na 2.0 used the older CRV engine right? Anyway ok sana yung civic 2012, if it werent for the pricing. I doubt that the price will change if the units come from thailand. Since the 2012 Jazz 1.5ex already costs 899k. Ouch. Mahal na ng auto ngayon.

yup, i meant yung mga 1.6 / 1.8 engines nila for the top/midlevel (Esi, Vti, Vti-S, 1.8S) were always new with every generation. the 2.0 sa FD was also the 2.0 in the ES if i'm not mistaken.

Ah yes, reuse sila ng engine ngayon.

On another note. I just hope that ECO mode works. From what I understand it basically just delays your car response para mas mabagal ka mag patakbo, thus you consume less fuel. Pero sa traffic jam ganon parin ang consumption nito IMHO.

The 2.0 RS Civic ES and 2.0 Civic FD essentially used the same K-series (K20) engine. Of course, the engine in the FD received slight tweaks.

Yes, 2002-2005 CRV used a very similar type of K20 engine.

CRV 05-06 2.4, CRV 07-11 2.4, and CRV USDM 2012 all also essentially share the same K24 engine (w/ tweaks and optimization) differentiating them.

Feeling ko konti lang bibili because of the price. I think they are asking too much. If its around 950 - 980k siguro. Pero 1M for a civic. hmmm

At least this is better than the EK--> ES.

Makes me happy we bought our FDs (2) when we did. We almost waited out for this one.

BB Honda. Will check on you again in 5 years (When our first FD turns 11) and I hope you have something better (and hopefully, class leading at a forgivable price) by then.

I don't like the grill too. Will be upgrading once new grills are released. I liked the foglamps. They are not chromed, shiny black just the way I like them. I ordered additional wing spoilers on mine. Will post as soon as available.

Regarding the 17 inch rim, I plan to upgrade to 18 inch rim :D the current shiny black honeycomb foglamps will fit the honeycomb grill for my future upgrade.

this one, they raised the prices pa. hehe. maybe they could at least throw in a 5 year warranty to match Hyundai's Elantra

sir the reason why this civic is priced at 1.074MM is because its a limited edition model it truly is a Japan Domestic Model unit.. it has cruise control, rthe I mid system which is kinda like BMW's i-drive that controls most of the features of the car and also it has rear back up camera.. amongst other jdm only features.. those or some of the extra features will be omitted once the Phillipine domestic model comes out to bring the price down.. this is a temporary set up by honda so that until the are having difficulties with their thailand plant they will get their units from japan..

*bro ask ko lang kung official statement yan from the launch event? Base sa statement mo we can assume that they'll likely reduce the price too once thailand units take over the supply here in PH.

yes bro.. that came off the sales manager that I have talked to.. this is more like a stop gap move by honda to have units to sell while waiting.. and also there will be a 2.0L civic with the same k20 engine but with a econ button.. and also the thrust of honda right now is more on conservation.. hence no f1 paddles.. but more refinement and comfort instead
