Uncle Roger DISGUSTED by this Egg Fried Rice Video (BBC Food)
Off topic: that's the episode I realize the weird way British cook their rice. They don't wash it. And they put too much water then drain the excess water when it's cooked. They say that's how British really cook their rice. I don't know if that's true.

kahit si uncle roger eh na cut nung accord.. malamang may unang gitgitan na yan.. tapos di na sya naka porma dun sa truck
Agree. I won’t mince words:
INFANTILE
They are no better than 6 year olds fighting over candy or a toy-
“Ako munaaaa!”
Tapos, pag di mapagbigyan, (and the adults aren’t watching) the other kid will do something naughty (bully, hit the other, or throw a fit, etc.) in retaliation. On all fours (walang pinagkaiba) yung analogy na yan with this situation, except these are supposed to be “adults”.

No wonder traffic was heavy in EDSA this morning.
2 oil tankers crash into EDSA-Ortigas barriers, causing traffic │ GMA News Online
Agree ako with this.
Sino ba yung parang spokesperson nila ata na babae? I remember seeing her on TV citing statistics defending the scheme since halos lahat ng incidents of collisions with the barriers were due to driver error daw.
Of course ganun nga, KASI yung vehicle ang gumagalaw, not the barrier... but sa palagay ko ha, the flaw in that logic would be like putting a boulder in the middle of the road, then arguing that the car that later comes along and hits it is the problem, when some GENIUS shouldn't have placed the potentially HAZARDOUS object there in the first place.
My 2 cents.
Nakatulog daw yung driver. Imagine without those barriers the sleepy drivers may have plowed through other vehicles.
I'm OK with the barriers as long as they keep it well lit and visible especially at night. Also keep it straight na walang biglang may barrier na out of place or naka umbok. You shouldn't be driving if you are hitting a stationary and visible object like this.
it was a big truck.
according to the reporter,
it made short work of the barriers, scattering them "like kids' toy blocks" ("my words")..
the truck stopped only because it got stuck, trying to go over the bridge's safety barrier to its left.
i'm not in favor of barriers of any sort, in edsa, illumination notwithstanding.
it's illogical for me to think that such prominently-but-ill-positioned barriers won't get struck again and again by moving traffic.
a problem, i think, why the barriers get hit on a regular basis,
is that, in putting up those barriers, the authorities made a narrow lane to the left of the barriers, and a narrow lane to the barriers' immediate right.
my theory is that, if they really needed those dividers, they should make for wider lanes on either side.
as it is, there's little margin of (driving) error for barrier sagi.
roads should be designed to make driving safe, for everyone, good drivers as well as not-so-good drivers.
roads should not be designed for good drivers alone.

To me, medyo maluwag yung bus lane to the detriment nung lane immediately to the right.
Dati when traversing EDSA, I prefer to stay sa rightmost lane para isang side na lang ang worry ko.
Pero with the bus lane, yung available na rightmost lane ay napakakitid na.
As it is, pag doon ako nakapwesto kumakain pa ako ng konti sa adjacent lane.
Kasya naman sana ang isang sasakyan, especially kung sedan.
Pero there is always the chance na masagi mo yung barrier kapag nagkamali ka ng tantiya lalo kung merong mga barrier na nawala na sa alignment.
As what I experienced one time being side by side with a Ford Raptor (medyo malapad for our roads) on EDSA. I was in a sedan, and the Raptor on my left had the concrete barriers on his left. Kulang talaga ang space niya dun so he was eating into my lane na rin.
I understood naman kasi mahatsing lang siya (mapakabig konti) or the slightest miscalculation, sasagi talaga siya (either the barrier or me), so at the earliest safe opportunity, lumipat na lang ako ng lane.
At tama, minsan may nakasuwang na di naka align, or may other obstruction (butas, bato etc.) that you will also need some reasonable leeway to maneuver din.Masikip na nga daan eh.
