Hi! My dad is planning to buy an everest this after election. A bit excited kasi angpogi ng exterior ng everest. other than that parehas lang kasi siya sa gen 2 and sa interior ng ranger namin. pero bilib ako sa engine ng ford, anglakas humatak.

overdrive 1,2,3,4 & 5 gear shift.
O/D OFF 1,2,3 & 4 gear shift only.

Nag full tank(P2,200) po ako from San Pedro to Sorsogon, may natira pa ng mahigit sa one fourth sa fuel gauge ko, matipid po talaga ang everest. bought last Dec. 23, not sure kung dahil sa bago po siya kaya matipid, na test ko na po ang riding stability nya lalo na sa quirino na malubak, comfort naman ang family ko. ganun din sa mga curve ang ganda ng manuvering capabilities nya. Yon nga lang hanggang ngayon wala pa ang plate no. ko ganun ba talaga katagal yon.

salamat po mga sirs... mukhang mas matipid sya kumpara sa escape na 2.3L engine.. well considering na diesel kaya cguro pero i thought since mas malaki engine nya mas magastos.

sir tanong ko lang po, newbie lang ako, just wanted to know when to use or turn on your overdrive, pag over taking ba usually gamit ito, paga naka overtake kana and when to turn it off and in addition, planning to visit baguio sa stiff area po, do i have to leave in full auto "D" o o kailangan ko pa i shift, o kaya na ito ng eve natin, thanks

i'm planning to buy a pre-owned 2004 or 2005 4x2 everest. i'm leaning more towards the A/T diesel variant. can you please give me the pros and cons? if you can also give the price when it first came out (pati sa ibang variants) it'd be much appreciated, para naman medyo may idea ko kung gano kataas mag-depreciate. thanks!

Sir, usually D will do sa mga not to inclined part. But sa mga matarik na part, putting it to 2 or 1 or L will do. 1 or L is like the primera sa manual transmission. L kasi sa landcruiser namin kaya i put 1 or L.

Overdrive - this one is like the 5th gear ng automatic transmission. We use these if we are already going 80km/h upwards. Don't forget to turn it off when you are just going lower speed.

n1kn0k: not much idea about that model sir. alam ko lang is that, malakas na din engine niya kasi yan nakaka- karera ko dati nung bago pa yan gamit landcruiser namin. Nag-bago lang naman dyan sir compare sa 2007-2009 everest is yung engine which is crdi na, interior and some body parts. Halos lahat na din yata..hehe! Better check the latter model and compare it with the 2004-2005 sir. Sure lang talaga ako sa engine nila is mag-kaiba na po.

If you are buying automatic, check if ok pa humatak. baka sliding na. see also if the ATF is still red. Sign that the owner is doing the maintenance. Better if you can get the maintenance book of the car and the repairs done to it. hope it helps.
