Everest owners especially 09 models help naman.

I'm facing again the dilema of choosing between Everest and Alterra. My supposed purchased period was postponed due to some medical emergency my wife incurred.

Kaya here I am again trying faithfully to decide ano ba talaga kukunin ko?

Please share your comparison between Everest and Alterra; especially the ride, engine performance, FC, and resale value.

    Thanks in advance

Sportivo vs Everest? There's just no comparison. Malayong malayo. Lampaso Sportivo except sa Fuel consumption.

    Ford Everest: 71L.
    Sportivo: not sure.

'09 Everest vs '09 Sportivo? Ibang class ang Everest. Bigger, more powerful, and just plain better.

The better comparison would be the Innova vs the Sportivo, in which case mas lamang pa rin ang Innova.

Sobrang tagtag ng Sportivo, interior space is average at best (for its class), but the biggest drawback is the ancient engine.

    2.5L Everest: 143hp, 330NM of torque.
    3.0L Everest: 156hp, 380NM of torque.
    2.5L Sportivo: 85hp, 189NM of torque.
    2.5L Innova (Diesel): 102hp, 260NM of torque.

I agree.

In fairness, the Everest seem tough. Try tapping the body panel, its more solid than the Toyotas.

IMHO, kanya-kanyang strengths and weaknesses lang talaga yan. Bihira kang makakakita ng vehicle in that price range (1.3+M to 1.7+M) na kumpleto ang features.

Let's briefly compare the Montero Sport and Everest, both 4x2, both 2.5L. Etc. etc.

Our family went for the Everest, pero I'd just be as happy with the Montero Sport.

a couple of gripes would be the lack of headrests for the 3rd row (which pretty much makes it impractical for adults for long drives). and that twist-pull handbrake.

but I really find the huge center console box (since wala doon yung handbrake) handy all of the time

Oh yeah, that's one big advantage. I'm sure a number of Everest owners are thankful for that feature after Ondoy and Pepeng.
